Surgery tomorrow!!

Oh, your posts make me want to get CI, too, I've never heard birds...

But I'm so afraid of it, I'm afraid to depend on the insurance, doctor and medicine...what if the CI get broken and I won't have insurance and etc
 
My implants are insured for 3 yrs which is great so if they break I can get a new one. Please look at everything there is about CIs and try not to be afraid. I was afraid too. But I wanted to hear badly as well. Good luck with your decision, and God Bless.

It isn't really insured, all the external parts of the CI are under warranty for 3 years from the date you got it. The internal implant has a 10 year warranty on it as well. I've had mine for over 5 years and never had any problems still using the same original rechargeable battery I've been using since day 1.
