surgery to regain hearing loss

Im going to try to be as nice and patient with you as Laura has. Try anyway, I'd love to have mild loss, you're crying about it is about to make me have aneurism.
There many, any causes for hearing loss, a "fix" is not one size fits all. In fact most can't. It's sensorineural loss.....ok that means NERVE damage, you can't regrow nerves, it's not a broken leg you can reset. It's more like breaking your back and severing you spine....you're paralyzed from the damaged nerves, they can't fix that.
If surgery was an option for you you would have heard about it from your doctor or audi. You can't go chasing someone else's cure.

You have near perfect hearing, I wouldn't worry this much about regaining 10db or so! I would just carry on with your daily life 
I'm profoundly deaf and its pernament. I just get on with my life and accept that I can't hear as well as other people.

I'm very aware of stems cells, but that's not a viable option right now so why mention it?

mayuri, any doctor that would be willing to perform surgery for mild sensorineural loss (or any degree really), will leave you profoundly deaf. They probably got their medical license out of a Cracker Jack box and they should be avoided. No reputable medical doctor would do this because of the oath: "Do no harm."
There's no surgery for this, but there is help - hearing aids....but they need to be worn more than hour a day to be of any benefit. The stem cell treatment is in the future - not for me though as I'm Catholic - but I'm sure others won't have such issues. However, if you can't afford hearing aids, you won't be able to afford stem cell treatment either because of the high cost. The research at this point is promising but not reliable as more study is needed; I don't expect this to be available to the public anytime in the near future unless it's successful and approved. Widex, however, is coming out with some wonderful technology in 2013.....

My understanding of this is they are working on the use of stem cells from different sources and that it is one of the sources that the Catholic Church objects to. So . . . in the long run it could still turn out to be available to you, Laura.

You need better hearing aids then! This problem will be ongoing unless you get better hearing aids. Maybe part of the problem is you haven't accepted your slight hearing loss?!
You need to stop worrying about hearing aids being invisible and get ones with more features that would help you on the cellphone. At the moment you are going round and round in circles even tho this has already been said to you!! CIC aids DO NOT have any features to help you in the cellphone and in crowded places. If you want small hearin aids, you loose all the added benefits of helping you!!
Mild loss is near perfect hearing, for you personally it maybe different as your whole family is hearing.

It will not work with your aids as you aids DO NOT have telecoil as said to you many times!
Why is not a viable option?
My only rely to disability is "Accept it and move the F*&k on" so stem cells are a waste of time

Unfortunately, the disadvantages for this hearing aid are many. First, CIC hearing aids are more expensive than in-the-ear hearing aids. If you are on a budget this is not the hearing aid for you. Also, because of the size CIC hearing aids are not recommended for children because their ears are continually growing. If you have arthritis you will have difficulty with replacing the battery.
Feedback is another problem with CIC hearing aids because the microphone and receiver are so close there is a large amount of feedback which many find to be annoying. CIC hearing aids are also more at risk for earwax and moisture damage compared to larger hearing aids. This leads to a higher repair rate for CIC hearing aids compared to other hearing aids.
Advantages are, they are small.

They are very cheap in relation to the technology inside but are very expensive to buy due to the whole thing in your ear!
I don't need to give you an example for feedback as the pervious posts examples why.
I'm profoundly deaf and I've excepted that I will never hear normally or on a cellphone. I just get on with life.
