Sunrise in Chicago, IL

Happy Easter, everyone!! These photos were taken over the course of a 80-minute time frame.

This was taken just after 5 AM, and is the first of several.

This was taken about 10-15 minutes later, and is my 2nd photo.

This was taken around 5:30 AM or so, and shows the beginning of the sunrise.

This was taken just after 6 AM, and is the middle photo of this lot.

This was taken at 6:10 AM, and is the next to last photo.

This was taken at exactly 6:18 AM. Final photo without blinding myself.

Today's photos were taken at Lake Michigan, and mind you, it is WINDY there this morning, and you'll see just how windy it is by these waves.

That's it for the sunrise.

These fellas look like they're having a good time.

Beautiful quality pictures! Did you get a new camera? I liked the last picture. Great job!

Yeah it looks like the birds are going out for a Sunday morning stroll .
Nice photos.

Thanks. I just got back from the beach (a different part further south), and there is some beauty there, as well. I'll have to snap more pictures this week for those areas.

You should try to get a photo of the super moon tonight , it's going really big . I just saw the moon and it's huge looking .

Hmm. That is an idea. Sunset is due in about an hour, so I will try then.

I am outside now, and it's cloudy, thus obstructing the moon. :(

I forgot about this one until just now.

This was taken just after 5:30 AM yesterday morning, and before I reached the beach.

Today's photos were taken 20 minutes up north, at Touhy Beach.

These waves are rough today, and there is a Beach Advisory in effect today because of it.

You won't believe sometimes Lake Michigan waves can be high as 5 feet;

I know. That doesn't happen often, and only when there is really ideal conditions for that. Like say, winds gusting 40 MPH or stronger.

Today's sunrise at Howard Beach is partial, because the lake is fully engulfed in fog, as you will see in these photos:

I'll have to try again tomorrow.

Today's photos were taken at the furthest northernmost part of the City of Chicago-- Howard Beach.

Beautiful sunrise at the beach
