In the summer, I just wear flip flops from Old Navy, they're really comfortable and cheap, so I just wear them all summer long.

I generally go barefoot or in socks, but have been advised I need to have something on my feet. Need something that will allow me to shuffle along as I cannot pick up feet.

Hmmm maybe, Isotoner slippers or moccasins.

I shuffle a lot too, because of my hip dysplasia. I have been doing it all my life, can't help it. My dad and his wife used to get really mad at me for shuffling.

I wear sandals all the time now as it is summer now here in Texas (weather-wise). They are more comfortable than shoes cause of the heat. We've been having temperature highs of 90's lately. I cannot wear flip flops because when I try to walk in them, the flip flops slips out from under my feet and end up sort of next to my feet, and I end up walking with bare heels. I suspect this has to do with my hip dysplasia. I want to get a pair of summer sneakers, the kind you strap onto your feet, not full coverage.

My Grandmother used to buy the keds tennis shoes, then cut the toes out. She did not wear sandals or flip flops. She had to have shoes. She would cut the toes out of the shoes for comfort.

you know what I really hate? people wearing sandal/flip-flop and not taking care of their toenails :ugh:

YUCK!

I like to keep all my toenails pretty short all the time. Much more comfortable. If I neglect to trim my toenails for a while I end up feeling uncomfortable while sleeping and I end up scratching my legs in my sleep, and I would get up from sleeping just to trim them so I can sleep without scratching my legs!

:hmm: Next to misspelling, uncut nails, (finger or toe) are one of my pet peeves.

You don't like it when women grow their fingernails to look pretty? I like to grow my fingernails and then paint them with nail polish. Right now I recently painted my fingernails black. I wanted to paint them teal but the teal polish I had turned out to be really thin, I think it was supposed to be something that leaves a teal-ish tinge on different colored nails. So I have to go back to the store and get a bottle of thick teal nail polish to match the outfit I wanted to wear to the deaf picnic on Saturday.

I don't object to it, but I really do keep my fingernails and toenails cut to the part where they just start growing.

I also have my fingernails as perfectly smooth on the edge as is possible.

It's just one of my quirks.

My daughters both like to wear nail polish, and it is interesting sometimes to see the different colors.

I went to a shoe sale at a place called Shoe Carnival this morning with my husband.
Having a sale for second pair half price and then a coupon for $5 off, I got these flip flops for almost free.

They are called Teva Mush.

Bought a pair of Teva flip flop two months ago for only $15!

Have yet to wear them because it has not been hot nowadays.

I love to wear my pairs of sandals, so Im happy that its finally going to warm up. Im so ready for summer. I even took care of my toe nail fungus for Botti :D

KEEN Footwear - Mobile

I have the slate/canton version.

Not as wide in the footbed & lighter is the "Whisper."

I have a fairly wide foot and high arch. Shoes can be a total nightmare for me 'cause I'm picky about comfort.

Those are nice shoes, but I have thought a little warm in summer. They have started a new one called Zuma that looks pretty comfortable.
