I felt that not many deaf would understood what happen to SOPA if bill pass in few weeks later.

Here are few example...
Ally ASL that you may know about her for famous part that she just being interpret from the audio of music into beautiful sign language. Guess what? Music Studio accuse her for steal the music to share. They bitching to YouTube to banning her account. She fought as she is proud of her work that she is just volunteer to every deaf and ASL student. It went back normal as she got account back...

Now, if SOPA happen... Music Studio is ready to kick her butt to shut down for a good.

Not only her, it affect to independence bloggers, network social as Facebook. You probably won't able to make re-connect or make new friends anymore. Who know?

It would affect to this forums, too. We won't see the funny shit on video or something.
 
This will be a first, PowerOn, but I will agree with you here.

I'm not crazy about the idea of boycotts, but I hate censorship even more. If you really wanna do something about SOPA and PIPA, write your Congressman and voice your opposition to the bills that are being drafted.
 
It's interpreters job to sign what they are saying. I don't think it makes sense to censor that crap. Deaf people would lose a lot of services for sure.

I kept refreshing reddit like it was going to be back this morning LOL but its important!
 
If scammer decide to post illegal link here on forums. It's Alex or mod team responsible to removed before govt see and block this sites. If SOPA pass, it would happen.

One of major why against on SOPA, it's employment loss for Internet Industry, it will hurt economics big time.
 
Seems the blackouts were successful. SOPA has been "withdrawn" for now.
