Stage Theaters..accessible to audience with hearing loss?

Some more open caption performances....something I hadn't seen 3 or 4 years ago when I looked before.

For the past three years, Signature Theatre Company has partnered with c2 (caption coalition) inc. in offering open caption performances as part of Signature's accessibility programming. c2 was formed in 2002 by David Chu and Donald DePew as a 501(c)(3) non-profit advocate for the provision of professional Live Performance Captioning (sm) for the arts. c2 holds the distinction of being the first ever to caption live theatre, and now, a decade later, boasts an impressive roster of prestigious venues across the country now offering this vital access program. Signature Theatre Company - Open Caption Performances

This is slowly growing while technology and services merge to the benefit 30 million people with hearing loss who rely both on sound and captioning to get the full communication access. This area is a much bigger need and much delayed need as well but it's coming around for those who still cherish their hearing and still want the full participation just like any other hearing people would have.

Also... might wanna get in contact with the foreigners in your area, O Ignored One.

I know according to the CTRC in Canada, there were more second language people buying decoders than deaf people in the 80s and early 90s. Oh wow... I remember when mom bought me a captioning device when we couldn't afford the TVs that have the chips already inside them.

A lot of foreigners can read another language, but seldom hear or speak the languages themselves until they emigrate.
