I am so excited for my wedding!! 21 more days!! Anyway, I just want to share with you about my wedding plan. I have been very blessed with the budget and the wedding stuff. I am gonna share with this to the future bride/groom.
My fiance and I have a tight budget and we are both college students. We are amazed how blessed we are. We get some help from our families but it wasn't enough however we decided to use it very wisely.
First of all, we had to work on our wedding cake and sheet cakes. This lady was from my sister's church. She was willing to help and was understanding about our budget was so tight. She gave us an excellent deal, the wedding cake is gonna be two tiers with mini water foundation under the cakes. It would be so beautiful. It will be decorate with off white butter-cream and hot pink spring flowers. And we also ordered 5 sheet cakes for 90 ppl each. (450 pieces). The total is 175.00 dollars.
Then the next stop, first thing we had to do the wedding announcments. I was afraid that it d be so expensive! Luckily, we had about 500 invitations cost us 52.00 dollars.
Then off I go to a bridal shop! I have tried on over 20 dresses. Truthfully, the very first dress I had tried on, I just fell love with it! It was 100 dollars!! plus veil, slip and alternate, total is 227.00 dollars! and I had to get a hot pink flip flop!! cost me 15.00 dollars. *heehee* (ain't gonna wear high heels!)
Honeymoon and photo/video are the most important to our wedding, usually, they are very expensive!!! Fortunately, I had better deals. My fiance bought a deal of hotel and air tickets to Las Vegas, cost us 644.00 for 6 nights! We are truly blessed! What more!!!..... The photo/video package (bridal pictures, wedding day, and video) cost us 300.00!! (well, my sister's brother in law owns a business!)
We also have friends to borrow their things for decorations for free! (fabrics, trees, lights and arches.) Our church will make some refreshments for our simple reception. We decided not to have dinner to everyone. We thought we could have 'open house' instead. It will be very simple and pretty!
What I am trying to say... ( I am not trying to brag!) that for those who want to save money for the wedding and the future, always check with different deals and ask your close friends or families that knows anyone who could do the wedding things. You will never know what you can find for better deals!
It is really worth it!!
*squeals* THREE MORE WEEKS!
