Flower bed

Here are photos of the flower bed I had been working on (a promise to my wife):

I planted these flowers from seed - they did better than the ones I bought at a nursery:

So, at least I know what to plant next year - the nursery bought flowers did not survive the recent heat wave - the ones I planted from seed thrived:
