Just a thought to make a thread for anyone who have some trouble with spelling on any words. If you don't know how to spell something, post here and we'll help you out on which word spelt right.

There's another way to check your spellings is to go into WP program or some kind of software program to check spellings. (I know some computers may not have some software programs to do that, so that's why I made this thread to help out.)

Go ahead and post any word(s) you want to make sure the spelling is correct. :thumb:

Heheheh...I know I'm not a perfect speller, but if I do know the spelling of a word and I see it misspelt, I often jump in and suggest the correct spelling. :-X My hubby dubs me as the 'Spelling Nazi' on IRC, :lol: Hubby's not the world's best speller and he hates it when I criticise his spelling and suggest the correct one to him. :P

Heh. I criticize my hubby's spelling too. :o He kept saying that he is not very good. :roll: :slap: My hubby. Heh. I told him, "Well, now you know and you can keep learning like I do!" ;)

Heheheh..yeah, I have told him the same that as long as I help with his spelling, he'll eventually improve...sometimes he just doesn't give a damn or says 'That, too' relating to the spelling I suggested and his own spelling of a particular word. :P

:werd: Actually, he's doing much better in fact. He's spelling words better than he thinks now. :thumb: I believe it's because he really paid attention to me. :mrgreen:

I have good spelling skills but when it comes to chatting online or in AD, it's lousy! lol..

wow !!! I never thought about them until u just brought it up and make me realize how much we miss these folks !! Hope that they would come back and being Grammar Nazi !!! lol

:lol: same here...I know I do have good spelling skills, but when it comes to live online chats and in channels, my spelling goes to the dumps cos I'm typing so fast and don't check before I send it! Hahahaha.

Hehe, my spelling's very good, I tend to correct people when they spell a word wrong, but after a while it gets annoying of course. So I've stopped now (or am trying to :P). Before I hit enter, I always check and double check what I've just typed. Try that, and get into the habit of doing that and your spelling will improve!! Well, it works for me anyway.

I try to do that, too...but most of the times, I don't really double check what I've typed and see if I've made any typo's or the sorts until AFTER I've hit 'return' ... :P
But in my essays for class or in here on AD, I do ensure that I check every word and I've spelt them correctly, heh. Sometimes I do misspell a word and have no idea of the correct one, so I'll just leave it and put 'sp' after it. ;)

I rarely use online dictionary.. I just reread it and if it does not look right, I will try to spell it again.. If all else fails, I'll just ask my boyfriend.. lol
 
I'm not a great speller, this is why sometimes i put (sp) at the end.
 
I'm real anal about spelling correctly but rarely correct others unless they ask. I figger: If I know what the person means, then that's all that counts.
