Speed Limit 80 in texas!

Here is something to think about .... The more faster you go, the more powerful your air conditioner will be in your car or truck. :) :thumb:

( At a high rate of speed, it is always good to keep the windows rolled up tight for more better control of your car or truck )

And here we got all the rap that we are the nation's worst drivers... Hmm. How can we be horrible at 65mph?? :dunno:
The only reason we got the rap because we cannot go 75 legally so we got more tickets than everybody else.
I was shocked to see 75mph in Arizona when I drive there... but then there are LONNNNG stretches of highways with *nothing* around in Arizona unlikely California where there is an exit every 1 or 2 miles along the highway.

Galaxy/BullyMom= Canada's law 80 to 100 kph convert to USA ??? it is about 60mph to 80 mph.
80 kmph ≈ 49.71 mph
100 kmph ≈ 62.18 mph

Texas Lawmakers Consider Higher Speed Limits.
The Story Here
Gee why cant they raise the speed limit here in florida 75? Its 70 MPH in here in florida.I think they should raise it to 75 in florida but 80MPH should be the limit in the US mean NO MORE! If anyoner raise it to 85 that would be too dangerous for people to drive.

OMG I hope they do raise the speed limit to 80. I live in Texas. I just moved to TX from MN in April, and I am shocked at the speed limits here, they are so lame! And Texas has a nighttime speed limit?! I never heard of such a stupid thing!!!

In MN and WI we would think nothing of doing 70-80 mph, even in rain!

Oh yeah, I noticed that here peeps can't drive worth shit in rain! :jaw:

But then again, it don't rain much here...LOL. Just odd to see people skidding in rain or getting stuck in water...never had that problem in MN or WI...

Since moving to TX I have taken to keeping the windows fully open, I love the air here!!! It feels soooo good. It is a good thing I don't wear a dress :D

There is not that too much rain year round in TX. That is why but I am trained to drive in all kinds of weather and I was born in Texas, Now I live in Pennsylvania where it rains alots year round and I have to watch out for the hydroplaning of the cars or my own car too when travel at high speed. Texas is very flat in some parts of TX and at night time , fellow Texans drink and drive so fast at night time, the cops can't believe it plus there are alots of very aggressive Texans who wanna fight with the cops so the cops mess with the best of them because Texas is very heavy strong military culture plus there is a very strong fighting culture in Texas. The night time road speed limit are there for a good reason also in TX farm country, way too many people drive so fast they destroy cattle, another farm animals that cross the road in the middle of the night. The farmers who run their own business complain then the cops come and hide somewhere on the road and bam !!! Just like that .... The cops hit the lights and pull over people and aggressively pull them out of their trucks or cars and they start fighting right away, no questions asked... The TX State Police don't f*ck around because Texas has always been a very rough nation. It's a whole another country. Welcome to Texas !!!! God Bless Texas !!!!! :) :thumb:

Recently my friend was driving home from work and some fuckturd tossed one of those antique plastic toy bouncin' horses out on the road and now the front of her car is all fucked up.

Yes at 55, 65 mph that will be fine to leave windows open but for speeds fast approaching 80-90-100 M.P.H. you would want your windows closed for better control and stability.

I live in TX. I drove 80 on 70 mph speed limited as I even pass by cop. Seem they don't care about it.

Hmmm yea I get what you mean! In montana only 13 state cops up there!

Im not quite sure WHY no cops in sight when I was crusing in Indiana on I-90 (Even during holiday weekend!). Somebody told me I-80 is nightmare cuz cops all over to bust drug trafficking. Interesting.

Nope...it was actually Alabama...only 1 state trooper available per 60 miles. I took a 50-mile trip regularly. You do the math. ;)

That's true. I used to live in Montana too and it is soooooooo rural, nothing but wilderness for miles and miles, and come to think of it, I never ever saw a single cop or cop car the entire time I lived in Montana.

Just because the police does not care does not give you the right to floor your car in excess of the posted speed limit. Most Texans have a healthy respect for the police who maintain law and order and take care not to speed. You usually can tell who is a younger driver or a more older and a more responsible driver with a family in his tow. Please respect the laws of the roads in Texas. Thank you and God Bless Texas !!!!!

Not good news

Ten years ago, I was in an accident that totalled my car. Neither of us were going over 40MPH. The cop and I were talking while waiting for the tow truck and he said that no driver had any business going over 70 unless it was an emergency. I still agree with that. How many people walk away from an accident where ONE driver is going 75+? A head-on at that speed isn't pretty and cops stay busy enough as it is now.

Yep, Indiana is known for its strictest drug trafficing as you know since that it's known for its america's crossroads. Not only that but I-80 is also known as the america's heaviest semi-truck traffic. Therefore it wouldn't be ideal to do 80 mph on that type of highway there.

Down here in Colorado the speed limit in hwy is 75 in some areas, but ppl still going 85-90 mph... especially I know driving from Las Vegas to California on I-15 is pretty long drive so I even drove over 95 mph and I once saw a semi-truck going over 100 mph so I go wtf!
