Britney couldn't eat or drink after 12 midnight. And she slept in playroom until
7 am and went outside and pee and came back in and still dripping blood on carpet.

And then at 7:30 am, she was put in carrier and was pissed off.
Drove to vet and as she entered in building, she barked so loud and demanded to let out of carrier.
Finally she got out of carrier and she jumped all over Veterinarian to greet.
She weight 25 pounds.
And then Veterinarian put special collar on her neck and was taken in back with all other dogs in cage. Britney and other dogs were barking with conversation.
She was given anesthesia and spayed.
And later was given antibiotic.

Cost = $67.27

Veterinarian informed "In heat, keep away from male dogs for 1 week".
And she was picked up and vomitted on car's floor. And came home and pee pee and pooped, and then vomiting in backyard.

Went back inside and
Too sick to climb upstairs
Now she is resting.

On the certificate....

This certificate certifies that the information provided animal has had an ovariohysterectomy (surgical sterilization) at our veterinary hospital.

Todays Date: 1/31/06

well, spaying is better and less messy so I hope that you are happy that your puppy is not bleeding.

I agree with RJR. :) Also, don't let her jump around or run because of the stitches...let her rest for a while inside. The vet gave us post-op instructions for Oreo's spay and this is one of the rules. :) Just letting you know.

Thank rjr and nancy....

Britney rested and got up and vomit on floor twice and wanted to go outside to pee. And after finish peeing, she weakly lay on the ground. So I went outside pick her up and we went inside.
She couldn't walk upstairs, so I picked her up and put her in the playroom.
I caught her licking her incision, so I tried to tell her no. But she bit my hand.
And then rest.

I forgot to give her water and food, she has gone 20 hours without water... She was so dehydrate she tried to drink up the whole dish full of water.

So I left the playroom and turned off light and shut door, so she can sleep and rest.

she shouldn't be biting her master- she is not being trained properly then :squint: ... if she is licking her incision.. it sounds like the vet didnt give you this plastic tube for around her neck to prevent her from even reaching her incision??? :|

Thank you Heath.

I understood that she was in a lot of pain and her instinct is to defend herself, I felt that is why she bit me.

Nope the vet didn't give me anything but paperworks. And Veterinarian saw her bleed from her wound, but let me take Britney home, anyway.

I just checked on her at 6 o'clock in morning and Britney is doing better.
No vomiting and no bleeding.... Yay!

But I put peroxide on her incision yesterday, and it looks like it is healing pretty well, so I put so more peroxide on her incision today.
Just wanted to make sure she doesn't get any infection. :|

If she was given antibiotics it was to prevent infection. She probably threw up from anesthesia.
The certificate states she had her ovaries and uterus removed, which is how they spay bitches.

Good for you to spay your dog.
Buy yourself a book by Stanley Coren "How to Speak Dog". You'll like it and you'll find it very informative.

How thoughtful of you audiofuzzy, If I see it at store, I would buy it. :ty:

Britney is her normal self and eating right and all.

You probably need to get provo check.. My dog threw up refused to eat only drink water but keep throwing up and found out he had provo diesase so i took to vet and they had treat him for a week stay and now he's lot better.

RacerFox22 really means "parvo".

Last year, I had my dog a shot. She had a bad rash on her skin, and she lost a small area of hair from of the shot for three weeks. Darn it. I do not remember if it was from parvo. I have my dog's medical papers at my mother's house, but I don't have them with me.

I learned that most shots have three chemicals in one shot which is not good idea because it is powerful that makes a puppy tired, confused, and weak for one week. My dog never had a problem with the three shots (separate chemical) in each week - three weeks. I am grateful for that.

Miss P - yes it's normal and humping is not neccessarilly sexual behaviour reserved for mature male dogs,
it can mean domination or trying to dominate, any gender.. All this and more you will learn from the book I recommend, that's why I push you into getting it.

Fuzzy

ps a puppy is yet too little to be aroused, it's an exercise in domination.
