Actually no, it's not misinformation, because I have called the actual service and waited for the terp 45 mins...so I knew something was up.

Eh? It's not related to SIPREALY, I am talking about the actual service: on VPUm, something's strange because I did SIRELAY and they did not ask me for those information.
Honestly, I have no idea of whats going on with other departments. I only know my department. It is company wide that is being affect, but to extent, I don't know.
Basically, they are doing what is called "Cost cutting" measure. It is better than shut down completely as IF FCC adopts 3.89 per minute.

Allright thanks.
I learned that both wife and husband who worked for Sorenson recently bought a house. Now, they got laid off. My god.
This needs to be clarification, the answer to the question whether Sorenson has closed or not. The answer is simple, no we are not closing Sorenson. I still have job with Sorenson.
You still can call and use Sorenson VRS. They are still there, also you still can contact Sorenson Tech Support and CIR at any time. They are there to assist you, however the waiting time might or might not be longer than used to be.
If you need Technical support we are still here to help you.
For more information, here is the source that you are waiting for.

It does seem shame that FCC decided that one company too successful for their own good. Tier 1 and 2 cut approx 3-5%. tier 3, serving most people in most efficient way cut 20%. Will benefit other companies if sorenson customers go to smaller companies, but now fcc will pay more $ per minute to serve those customers. Nice savings! And now those companies will be making the same rate that Sorenson made until the cut. Will every one now complain about their greed??? Sorenson will survive because they do smart business. my understanding is people were given 2 weeks pay when laid off. i also have several friends laid off. No one can say their wasn't any warning. Sorenson has been sounding the alarm since April!
NH call center was given only 20 minutes heads up...
Then there's the investor $130,000,000 obligation that Sorenson had to make. Boooom.. That's what got Sorenson. Not the FCC.
Sorenson does have the most efficient VRS service, thats why the FCC looked at their cost vs profit - They wanted tier 1,2,3 to have 11% profit. At $3.86 or so, it would have shown Sorenson to make 11% profit overall, BUT due to some fancy financial issues - Sorenson had other people to please.
The FCC were forced into a position to provide Sorenson with some leeway because if they shut down, where would the consumers go to? That is very bad for the Deaf community because the consumers will flock to other VRS companies, and they will not be equipped in a timely manner to handle the amount of exodus.
Now you see what my beef is?
That is rather dismaying, I admit. Do you know of any other VRS company who are equipped?
I dont know of any. Purple is the next biggest... I am pretty sure that they arent that equipped to handle the "if sorenson shut down" thing.

Ew. There's a video of Ron Turdett. I'm sorry, and maybe you feel differently, but I don't trust him. Of course, he's blaming the FCC for apparently reducing the flow of free money. It's not the FCC's fault that Sorenson had to layoff some people.
