Is it normal to want a girlfriend, but do not feel ready to have a live in girlfriend?

Is it normal to want a girlfriend and have an open relationship?

Sometimes I wonder how people can have a boyfriend or a girlfriend and have an open relationship?

If I tried that, I wouldn't have a girlfriend. Not many of them would agree to that.
 
At a certain age, you just have to get over your uncertainties .

There is always divorce, or the equivalent , if you are not actually married.
 
When you say have "an open relationship " do you mean see other people ?
Yes it's normal to want a girlfriend , I heard of people getting married in their 80's b/c they do not want to be alone. I hope you'll find a g/f if that is what you want.

I had a friend who apparently had an "open" relationship but he fought a lot with his wife for that reason. I dunno it depends on the couple and how comfortable they are with the partner seeing other people.
 
young people talk about having a break then within the hour they jumping into bed with other people seems cop out to me...no contraception used, kids born don't know who dad is..
you either with someone or not,You young man if you made mistake i agree with bot there divorce...sometimes you got go for it but try not to appear desperate women don't like it
 
What planet are you from. Several people do this. Having a **** buddy or few depending.... no strings attached.

Yes. Dating someone, having them spend the night occasionally is completely different to having them live there and have all their stuff there and constantly be there.

That depends on you and your relationship with said girlfriend. It's not 'as normal' but I suspect it would be if there wasn't such a stigma attached to it.

Some people are able to separate sex from love. An open relationship requires honesty and rules, and these can be very detailed.

If I tried that, I wouldn't have a girlfriend. Not many of them would agree to that.

I don't think you can say this for the movie stars ,look at how many times some of them been married . I think some of them do not know what they're doing when it come to dating and getting married.
 
I have an open relationship with my hubby...we open up to each other just fine. Hahahaha...bad joke...

People having open relationships doesn't bother me as long as they keep them to themselves. None of my business.
 
I personally couldn't have an open relationship.... I don't have the ability to do it... that's just me... There are a lot of people out there that can and do just that though. If that's their thing, hey it's not my place to judge, whatever makes you happy right? :P As I said, it's not my cup of tea... but I have known a few people who have done it... worked for them... but that's them... :dunno:

I've been single forever and a day... I'm okay with waiting... you just have to accept that someone will eventually come along that was worth the wait, right? :) Someone will hop along Derek, you're an awesome guy... :D Very kind and always have a kind word to say... You will make a girl very happy one day, or maybe a couple girls! :laugh2: ;)
 
Open relationship topics aren't for me. And if I ever found the right woman, I would try my utmost best to stay with that woman, and if an inconvenience comes along (Kids, primarily) I'm not gonna be like most a-hole men who pack up and run off to another woman and refuse to accept responsibility of the child, or try and get that woman to have an abortion. That is not me, and I will stand tall, and accept my duties

Whatever floats your boat, Derek.

Get a screwbuddy the least complicated relationship thats called a relationship. Or be a swinger with too many emotions attached. Some people cannot handle it.


Be prepared for the consquences/side effect of this type of life style... STDS and DRAMA
