You'll be surprised how smart pets can be when it comes to vet visits. Sometimes, they will know where they are going... even if you don't tell them about it. Once, we took our dog to the vet. Our dog loved going in car trips. However, this day... our dog knew something was wrong. As soon as we said, "hey, let's go on a trip!"... our dog immediately ran and hid. This was a common thing we always said for our normal trips, which always had our dog running for the car. But, this time it was different. We finally got the dog in the car. By the time we arrived to the vet, the dog peed outside of the car. Eek!

I think my cats are more afraid of cars then they are the vet. Megladon's kitty will try to look out of the cage and look outside, whereas mine just plasters himself to the bottom of the cage and in the corner. However, when we took them to get declawed and spayed/neutered, Damnit (Megladon's kitty) went behind the door first, and as we were filling out some paperwork he makes this face like "oh my god" and he laughs. Me being deaf and all, I asked whats wrong. He said "well she is not a happy kitty." I asked how did he know, and he said she screamed like someone stepped on her. =X They were pretty mad at us when we got them back but now they're super needy and they bug us all the time. So I think its more of afraid of moving vehicles.. Mines actually afraid of everything... :D

lol yeah there were rumors that dogs can see the truth behind your eyes, even though you tell a lie out of your chest, the dog will not trust you...it's like the dog can read your mind you know? lol they are experts at knowing when their owner would be honest or dishonest

Oh my dog LOVES going to the vet! especially if he is going to be boarded!
the girls there just spoil him, thats why! lol! He is ok when the vet gives him shots, that he dont mind but if the vet checks his heart with that stethscope, he growls haha..it was funny cuz he said..he sounds just fine!
Mac (my dog) is weird ha..he loves to ride in back of the SUV!..
yeah, i think dogs and cats can read your mind..you'd be surprised!....
We saw a man brought in his little dog in the cage and that poor dog was just pissed off big time, he jumped around that cage, growling and barking..lol! it was funny to watch that dog..he never even stop to rest!!

lol. :D .. cute stories.. My cat yowled all the way to the vet.. My dogs know before they are getting ready to go to vet. My chihuahua dog dont mind going and love car rides!!

I agree w/ you about cats and dogs can read you by your emotions and voice tones.. eyes.

My both dogs loves going to the vet, cause they get bones from their doctor.

Cassie, my black lab, age 8, both loves and hates to go to vet. She knew when it is time for shot. She would snuck behind my mom.

Yeah, animals -- especially cats and dogs -- they *do* know when there's a trip to the vet in the cards. They just know -- they can sense the vibes from their masters. My cat is very timid - she hides behind the blanket in the basket --- and hides in my jacket when I take her out of the box to see the vet. But once that's all over, and is put back in the basket, she's fine -- strange!

 My cat hates going to the vet's with a passion. He'll actually start shedding like crazy and drooling like a dog (when extremely nervous, some cats shed/drool) My vet is a family member and not too long ago he paid a visit to my place. He saw the cat on the couch and went over to pet him. The cat flipped out and ran under the bed. I guess he recognized him!
