Mile and a half away... Daaaaaaammm!! They would not have even heard the gun fire.
 
They say, if you get shot - you don't hear the sound! "YIKES"!

But I do believe I heard about this a month or two ago.

this bullet travels about 2 to 3 times faster than the speed of sound. The only sound that guy heard was his own gut popping.
 
Meh. I could pluck out a turkey's eyelashes from 300 yards out etc.
