Skype HD videoconference.

I read this few days ago and am impressed with this. It is good to be in the living room when someone calls you from the other side of the world, rather not on the computer. It seems it would be in our living room sooner than we thought :)

That is, the example of skype using our television and it is happening in REAL LIFE. :thumb:
 
That what I thought of skype is the best than other vp systems. Because I am carrying my macbook with me to many places for WIFI at my mom, coffee house, starbucks coffee, library and everywhere with skype. My macbook have webcam.

So why I should get new P3, Netbook, viable, camefrog, ooVoo and other?? That's too many vp for me. I don't like sorenson because of issues. But I need to use PAH relay for hearing family, friends, bills, pharmacist, doctors, and other appointment. I don't use sorenson vrs that much because I don't like the stranger vrs don't relate to me.

I'm sick of too many routers with networking. It made my husband concern with sorenson and other VP company set up the router, switch, ports to hook up the pc with ip numbers. It drove us nuts!

Skype is free and not need to set up the router like sorenson does.

I was almost to get P3 as HOVRS. My husband asked the question to Purple hovrs installer about port, switch, ip address, router and etc. He never reply me the email back. I don't understand why installer never contact me or even come to my apt to hook up.

Sound good about P3. :) You will get upgrade P3 download soon. You get to use the new features.
 
Does this mean Skype will do video conference calling? I think I remember before Skype only allowed both video and audio for one-on-one and audio-only for conference calls.

You're reading incorrectly, Skype is taking bigger advatanges to move skype into the living room using their televisions (which would be connected to the internet)

Thanks for the clarification, JClarke. That would also be useful for Deaf/Low vision people because they could probably see the signing better on a TV screen than a computer screen.

LG and Panasonic are already lined up to deliver new HD webcams for their internet connected plasma and LCD HDTVs that will enable living room-to-living room calling in 720p. You can see clear and sharper HDTV.

Yeah! My husband showed me this video. We love it! I told him I like skype better than sorenson. We have 50 inches long plasma. His macbook can hook it up to our plasma. :)


Chevy, I hope purple 3 will install on my macbook. So I don't have to use another P3 netbook.
