what's everyone so chicken / afraid of? you could die tmr. in a car accident or something...or you can get cancer and die slowly an painfully...either way your going to die... might as well live and enjoy what life has to offer....it's not how long you live, but rather how well you live life.

Skydiving? That is just short term thriller....

I have dream, and still plan to pursuit my dream....

Its Hanging Gliding! Experienced Hanging glider can stay up in sky for hours and hours.

Skydiving isn't scary. Facing cancer alone is scary. Facing the world alone with two little girls who are looking up to you with their eyes trusting and begging you to take the best care of them - that's scary. Being alone in a room with a serial rapist (even with handcuffs) is scary. Being confronted by a psycho kid with a plugged in nail gun - that's scary.

I've experienced all of those things. Trust me...skydiving is a breeze, no pun intended.

I went skydiving (pictures coming as soon as my PC is up and running) for my birthday and 10 year remission- and it was awesome! I expected to be really scared, especially right before I jumped from the plane - however, I was really very composed and calm throughout the whole thing. Even when I crash-landed (my landing wasn't as pretty as I had hoped), my heart wasn't even racing at all. I was really surprised at my reaction to this experience.

But then when I think back on some of the things I've experienced in my life, I realize that I had faced much more scary things - and that perhaps had prepared me for this jump.

It would be really cool if we had an AD day at the dropzone, perhaps in the spring time. Who would like to go skydiving in the spring with me? :D

Ten year remission? That tiny airport in Perris?

Its not tiny airport in Perris California. Skydive Perris has a DC-9 jet to skydive from too...

You really can skydive from a jet? I thought most of the skydives were from a turboprop.

Looks like you had a blast and you learned a little more about yourself also! I would like to try that out since you said it's not scary as it sounds. :P

excuse me, I make choice to try or not try. It is not your decision. I don't make you do anything.

Excuse me, I know things are scary. It is my choice to not try or try. I never make you to move Ca from NV that that is your choice.

most air from turbo props which are really jetengines driving a shaft (prop) instead of a fan..

I have 7 jumps from boeing 727-200 see World Free Fall Convention Home Page

Perris has the DC-9 which took them a year or two to get FAA ok.. they never had a request like that before paperwork was a headache

google search skydive Perris for more on Perris DC-9 jet

i got a freind who is very frightened of cars, that she wont drive it, and even with me driving she still abit frightened and even i drive like nana. I honesty drive really slow but very smooth ( i used to race motocross in the past but i just dont trust ANY drivers on the public road , slow or fast town or country it doesnt matter i just drive with legal limits, and i drive like you wouldnt know when i changed gears...) back to skydiving... my freind "Mary" (her real name) would happily skydiving without hesitation but driving a car, nope she's dashed it off - strange huh?

as for me, id prolly yup skydiving, done bungy jumping, it didnt last long but a bit of a thrill to dangle off the massive elastic cord... over the 200 feet drop...

i think Gliding would be awesomefor the same price as bungy jumping you can glide for 1/2 an hour !!!......so i think that's on my list...

by the way, nice photo! bajagal - looked like you had a thrill without any nerves, just pure fun as it should be! great, good on ya !
