Single on V-Day

I don't believe in Valentine's Day...

It's a commericalised holiday where people are encouraged to buy, buy, buy. I believe if you're in love, you should show that person EVERY single day that you love them, not wait once a year to do something special.

Also you don't need to buy anything to show your love... Cooking dinner, running a bubble bath with candles, massage - all of these things show someone you love them.

I've only had a boyfriend for one V.D. I didn't even acknowledge the day... He bought me a rose and present but I accepted them reluctantly...

There is some truth to this, but it is not that expensive. You just have to be creative. One year, I made ASL wrapping paper for a deaf girlfriend and got her some earrings to match a ring she owns.

Cook her dinner, it does not cost much.
 
this is my first v-day being deaf, no date or plans or money really. I'd like to do something, but I'm an anti-social wanker these days
