Single by choice?

I'm single by choice because I chose to live in Buffalo and all the guys here are either married, gay, or mullet-wearing deadbeats, lol.
Would I like to be coupled? Sure, but I'm not going to settle for someone who doesn't make me happy or compromise my standards just for the sake of having a boyfriend. I'm happy being single, I have a great group of friends and a very active life, and if someone comes in who wants to share that with me, then so be it.
I also feel like I'm a work in progress, so that special someone would have to accept that, and know that what he sees might not necessarily be what he gets in time - it will get better! Unfortunately most guys don't see it that way, they only see the here and now and don't take the time to get to know me.
So I live for myself and have fun!
