Today I was with a deaf group for two hours and I did not get a thing out of it. Boy I thought I knew a thing or two...but...not at all. I feel like a stupid.

It is normal, for a beginner - they might wasn't unaware about you being a learner, they should slow down though LOL

i have a question. why did you take a class ASL? lol

I usually look for key words, as fast and difficult as it is, I don't need to read word for word, and I can comprehend what was being said.

My advice: don't try to isolate each and every sign. I learn by figuring out the topic of the conversation and then putting bunches of signs together to form some sort of rudimentary discussion base. I like to call it the "Cliff Notes effect". I might not have the whole story, but I've got the main idea.

Lol, hope that made sense.

Hey aqua, if you want to practice with me, we can learn a thing or two i'm sure.. I find you have to get a few words a sentence atleast, then your able to put a whole sentence together.

I use Viable Vision for Video calls, if you want to learn how to use it, shoot me PM and buy a webcam, we can practice.

I'll get it. It'll just take some time.
