That takes too long; I just do it in two motions.

I know. :)

It's either four or six rings, depending on how your head grasps around the concept when you do link three times.

Doing it twice would either form three or four rings, depending on how you visualize it.

Umm, no; three pairs equals six rings.

Think about it though. Every time you are moving your hand over, you're re-representing the same ring you did before. Otherwise it's 3 pairs of links, where each pair isn't linked.

O-O O-O O-O

Versus when you re-represent:

O-O-O-O-O

Make sense? :)

Technically, they are three independent pairs. Each pair is formed anew because the subsequent pair is disconnected and flipped before forming the next pair. Also, I make a slight lateral movement between pairs, so they are in line, not in one space. :)

How about this:

First pair, using 9-hands.
Second pair, using 8-hands.
Third pair, using 7-hands.

That way, each pair is unique, not just a repitition of the previous pair.

Just mixing it up, for fun.

Surprisingly that play-on ASL is easy... And addicting. Hope I don't end up using it; my lexicon is weird enough as it is.
