It is obvious that people would find life extremely difficult without computers, maybe even impossible. If they disappeared for just one day, would we be able to cope?

Be a part of one of the biggest global experiments ever to take place on the internet. The idea behind the experiment is to find out how many people can go without a computer for one whole day, and what will happen if we all participate!

Shutdown your computer on this day and find out! Can you survive for 24 hours without your computer?

I don't think my son can live without it. He plays his video games online. Wars of Worldcraft.

I could, no problem, no problem at all.....

its alright, its saturday.. we already have that plan to go somewhere and stay hotel. its no big deal! lol.

I could, no problem, no problem at all.....

We can write a note to put it in the bottle. Throw it into the ocean back and forth.

We can survive to keep in touch each other without technology. :eek3:

I'm going to be at an interpreting workshop that day, out of state, so I won't be on line anyway. :)

There are often days I don't go on line because I'm busy or not home.

Even without going online, I could not do without my computer. As a graduate student, it is a neccesity. I would find it difficult to not go online as am employee, as all records for our students are stored on a central database.

Right, Kalista; I hope to get your bottle before I die. Is it in the water already? Lol!

As usual.... Kalista. you are so funny.. I laughed so hard... i surely cannot do without computer due to vp...

Same here, I can even go a week or a month without computers. I go on vacation trips without bringing a laptop or anything.

Computers are often a distraction.

That works out perfect for me... I will be in New Jersey at an ASL assembly that day.

I heard about this, and I think it's silly. They're asking "What if all the computers in the world disappeared for one day" and then ask us to turn off our personal computer. The two things are completely different.

Sure, I could turn off my desktop. I could still surf the web and get email on my Sidekick. What's the point?

Besides, I'm working on my thesis and I'm not about to lose a day for some "experiment" that doesn't even matter.

HAHAHHAHA.. for American only....
woooOt, I'm exciting and watch you guys are out of control and freaking out the madness...
:laugh2:

I can live 24 hours without my computer. I once went camping for 3 days without my computer. I survived. ;)
