the game's simple - show off what you have for firefox add-ons. simply make a snapshot of your add-on or type out what you have. :cool2:

Damn... that's a lot of add-ons!

I only have 3...

- Magic's Video Downloader
- Ad Block
- Download Them All

:laugh2: lol if you notice - most of it are for web developing purpose. some of them are for "efficiency/convenient" purpose like FireGesture - I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT IT. YOU MUST TRY IT!!!! Also... programs like Foxmarks is really great because I have multiple computers and it really sucks to not have synchronized files. :cool2:

What is FireGesture?

That makes sense why you have so many.

I've always liked to keep it simple.

The Ad Block is great cuz I can block those annoying super-sized ads on some websites. It also works well with Flickr. Sometimes, I'll find a cool picture in Flickr... but I can't save it. I could save it if that person had "All Sizes" enabled, but other than that... you can't save the image on the front page. It's blocked by a transparent image called spaceball.gif which is annoying. I simply Ad Block that image and can now save the real image. :)

funny thing is.... all these add-ons were to make my job a lot simpler and also to save my time lol. It's kinda ironic.

You use mouse gestures to perform a specific function that you program yourself. For example - see the pix above? green line is where your mouse is going. Place your mouse pointer on the link and then hold down right-button and then perform a specific mouse math (from the pix - down and right). I did program it to open a new window. This is lot better than clicking on right button and then click on "OPEN IT IN NEW WINDOW"

I also programmed my mouse gesture to close window when moving it left and right. Also - when my mouse pointer is on unclickable link area, I move down-right to open new window and down-right to open new tab. My clockwise movement is to reload the page. BOX-shape gesture (down-right-up-left) is to open its OPTION window to configure/tweak it.

It's truly amazing and a huge time-saving program!!! It probably saved my time by like 40%! I beg you to try it! You can program the mouse gesture as according to your sign language gesture to perform a specific function.

i am a totally computer illiterate. no i dont rely on my hubby's help or he has not been working with computer that much.
yes i have seen "add on" but i am not sure what is that? Is it similiar as a favorite??

:cool2:

It's a program that you download and install onto firefox that performs some function within the web-browser. For example, Ad-block plus will stop many advertisements from loading onto the computer. No-script prompts you for permission everytime a website wants you to run script, such as flash or java script to keep your computer safer.

I don't use Firefox much these days, but I put it on secondary, while I put my Safari on default and never have any issues. No add-on is needed on my end.. :)

Ah... almost like those PDAs that use stylus.

I used to have a Palm Pilot m100 that uses a stylus to write and perform certain commands. If I wanted to copy something, I just use the stylus to highlight something... then put in a specific command to copy... then another command to paste elsewhere.

I recently installed a new plug-in. Didn't know about it until I came across a "Make Firefox Faster" website. It's FlashBlock.

Any webpage that has a Flash file embedded will show up as a blank white box with a little circle with the Flash 'f' logo. When you roll your cursor over it, the little circle becomes what looks like a Quicktime PLAY button. When you click on that button, it will show you the embedded Flash file. Really speeds up a lot of webpages since more and more websites use more and more Flash ads.

You're using Linux? Cuz of buttons on upper right corner sure does look familiar.

Catty

Nope, I run Vista x64 on that machine, 7 on another. I have a partition of Ubuntu but I rarely hop on it..
