There is deaf social tomorrow night. I've never been to one before. I'm still new at sign language and I've only been deaf for 4 months. I'm worried that I won't be able to understand anyone there. There is also a class of asl students coming to meet with deaf people as well. I will only know one person there but she is the teacher and will be busy with her students. I wanted to get everyone's opinion if I could, before I decide...

Yes I went. I stayed for a little over a hour. It wasn't too bad. There were a few people that talked to me. It was very overwhelming though. But I'm glad I went They invited me to the next one and will get word to me or my husband, letting us know where and when.
