There's few good URL shortening services, such as bit.ly and goo.gl where you can change a long url into a short url to pass it around.
TinyURL is still around but it's longer than bit.ly (5, TinyUrl - 7) and Goo.GL (5). Bit.ly is everyone's (individuals, corporations, business, organizations etc) favorite.is tinyurl still around? That one I used to use quite often.
