Shoplifters

You mentioned "excuse", that is lame idea! It is not an excuse, it is called "Cause and effect", if we abuse something, their price is gonna go up anyway. Do you EXPECT corporation to absorb all the losses out of their pocket? If this is really happen, those corporation will DEFINETLY go broke!

ok Im sitting down and going to explain more...

WalMart or Walfart in your case, has been advertising as a discount store... dropping prices like flies... bragging about it but it can hit you back... and get all the money from the Waltons' pockets.... So sooner or later they will use shoplifting as excuse to raise price to make themselves look good and blame it on thieves.. ok got it?

Annual losses on shoplifting at Wal-fart alone is around 12 billion dollars!

Just think about this, If somebody stole 3 dollars worth of candy and got caught, somebody have to call cop, somebody have to write support depositions, somebody have to stop this crook, somebody have to escort crooks, and this all ADDS up to the cost on the top of the 3 dollars candy, I am sure that in long run, they will cost them in tune of between Millions of dollars and Billions of dollars each ear, and we all pay for this! If Wal-fart is to swallow all of the cost and not passing to customer, Wal-fart is in no doubt already out of business long long long time ago!

Trust me, Wal-fart is NOT alone! Other retailers also share similiar problems, and the estimate of losses is way over 45 Billion dollars each year, and guess who pays for all of the losses? You can guess it!

Calling them an excuse to raise prices? I don't agree with this, it is part of cost for Americans who thinks just for themselves and nobody else.

They sell guns, tobaco, explict rated movies and videogames but they refuse to sell explict music as if they're some stupid little innocent angel.

I bought their product before, off-brand or wal-mart brand stuff. It broke within 3 days to a week. That's china-made products for you, ever wonder why it's so cheap priced? Because it's frankly shit as well.

China-mart puts honest americans out of job because
A. No self made american will stand for slave wages
B. It's so much cheaper and profitable to have shitty product made overseas en-masse and sold to the american public.

They hire any idiot off the street with no real experince. I was told that China-mart will fix your car and crap, guess who fixes it? People without prior automotive experince. When they ask for your keys to drive it into the bay they're also driving your car without a licsence which means they possibly won't know the difference between reverse, neutral or even drive. There are claims of workers screwing up the oil filter and completely junking the customers car ^_^ Good ol' China-mart!

Just take my word for it when I say china-mart is the devil, or level 53 Kathraion demon warror, even mother in law or whatever it is that's very bad-bad in your belief.

I agree, there's lot of China are overtaking the American's selling things, and also China's economic are dramatically going up compare to other countries since.. Even some people preview in the future, China will be the world economic country surpassing United States of America.
 
Walmart dropped the layaway plans as they want to be like department stores but it wont work as alot of things are cheap .. yeah right...

as for the punishments... i think its good idea to teach them lesson not to steal and save the taxpayers 6 months worth of money to feed, electricity and so on..

guido.. yeah walmart did said that.. but it was court who imposed the sentences on thieves not walmart.. ok..

While i do agree with some people here...its not a cruel punishment. The shopliter gotta own up to their actions. better than going to jail and dropping your soap by accident for only...what? 5 buks or something (jut an example).

I'm sure they will learn their lesson...if it doesnt work then sometimes jail time would come to a last resort.
 
i don't think this is a cruel punishment.. i think this is a excellent punishment..

its a way-to-go to embarrase the person standing 4 hours people looking at them and know who is shoplifter.

if you steal from stores.. which u prefer 4 hour stand up showing people you're a shoplifter.. or take 60 day jail? i would rather 4 hour stand up.. to avoid losing a job, etc etc while in jail for long time and to save those tax-payers.

jail is getting full.. and they need to find alternative ways.. and i think this is a way-to-go i applaud the judge.

think about it if a person stole $3 and success.. then what are the chance they will steal again? i believe a BIG HIGH chance they'll steal again and again.. and become professional theif.

i'm sure those Ebay people selling movies, etc.. saying its new.. i'm sure couple of those ebay sellers are professional theif. they make money out of it.

there are couple of people stealing $1,500 of items at one time.. those are real professional. they know what they're doing, how to avoid, etc.. and yet they'll do again and again till they're finally caught.

At first I was confused your posts about "cruel punishment" since I quoted Opal's post after Guido's post. I wasn't realized that a creator's link is different as Guido's link.

I am total surprised after saw the link of creator's. Yes, I'm agree that it's cruel punishment.

To humiliate a person to the public affect her/his self-esteem. It should be between court, the shop owner, shoplifter and police privately. I am for penatly fine and ban for how long to go shop.

Yes good point, I would look at them like :ugh: "Why shoplifting for? How would u feel if someone stole something that belongs to you?"

I'm all for embarrassment too, they deserved it. :thumb:
 
Some of you forget quickly...

I bet you will feel embarrassment when the people stare at you after saw your children or parents are Shoplifter and being punish to the public like this... I bet you don't like it either. :)

I bet you would :pissed: that they did your children or parents unfair to humilate them to the public...

That's why I am for penatly fine and ban for go to shopping.

Well, according on WM policies, they will charge on people if steal more than $25 value of stuff then she will be possible to throw in jail if she do steal BD movie ($30-$35).
