Whos paying for this? You do! When you buy something in the store.

Do you have a link to back your story up because, I cannot find in a website about People who lives in NYC get 10 tokens a month to ride a bus. :ty:

i agree... i love shopping online.. no sales tax gives me a huge break if i order something huge online. sometimes online offers free shipping and handling another big break!. saves me alot of money.

however i heard there's government are complaining about free sales tax.. and incresing of people ordering online just cuz free sales tax.. yep you can buy a car online with no sales tax ;)

government are discussing on making a new law about setting a sales tax online.. i hope this doesn't pass, i just love shopping online sales tax free if shipping and handling is free.

I have no doubt that the states will enforce sales taxes when it come to online shopping. It's bound to happen.

I wonder... since Bush re-elected and the house & senate are now leaning to Religious Right... If the law is passed, I will find it hilarious when ravensteve have nothing to blame but republicans and himself.

My friend's friend is working in Amazon.com and he kept saying that sale taxes for online shopping will be come up in no time.

i heard.. someday they'll force online business to add sales tax, because each state is losing alot of money from sales tax because people keep increasing in buying online to take advantage of tax-free.
and funny thing is.. state of minnesota is considering in doing that.. in exchange of that is reduce sales tax between thanksgiving and christmas for those christmas shoppers to go shopping in stores. while charging sales tax online year round.

It has happened in Canada, and will happen in the USA. It's only a matter of time before it happen.

Theres a loophole around that. If someone you know lives in another state and doesnt enforce on line sales tax ask him buy from you there and ship it to you.

If it does happen talk show host will name names and theyre be a political election comes up and theyre will be a negitive campaign ad on TV about he voted to establish on line sales tax. And he or she will lose the election. Like tom daschile lost his job as senator cause south dakatoans had enough with him with this $2 gallon of gas cause he blocked bushs energy bill could had prevented this.

Magatsu youre not really an indian. Cause indians dont chat on computers. They chat by hanging around other tribe members around the campfire watching dances , listening to drums and chants.

you don't know the first thing about Indians, they have computers just like everyone else, how does someone get to be your age and still have no real understanding about the world around them?

Huh?

What does it have to do with being lazy?....I'm so lost on this

Beside ordering things on line aren't safe as you think, and I could never order something on line with my credit card even some people may think some sites are safe to order from but for me no thanks! I rather to pay taxes then having someone ripping off my credit card ,then Ill be stuck paying off a credit card bill!

Yes, I second that.

I would never trust bank online or online shopping with credit card. I transfer money from my account to anywhere if I order something from online where the stores in Germany don't have.

I prefer to support any stores in real life than use online shopping due unemployment protection.

I use credit cards in real life only.

I agree. I prefer shopping on-line because I hate driving in heavy traffic, and large crowds of people in stores make me uncomfortable. It wastes a lot of time.

I have bought many things on-line and have never had any problems. It is important to know the company reputation and use secure connections.

I think it is personal preference. On-line and "brick and mortar" stores are both useful and good, depending on what each person wants.

That doesn't sound ethical. Also, why pay to ship something twice?

Our state has already said that residents are supposed to pay sales tax on on-line purchases. On the state income tax form, there is a place where the person voluntarily fills in the amount of sales tax due, and then can add that to their taxes. How many people do you think actually fill that out? Ha!

Actually, it doesn't matter if you don't do your banking online or offline. You are still at the same risk for identify or cash theft. The thing is, your account information is all over the world... literally! Banks are big investors in networking technologies and more, and most banks are networked all over the world with your and my personal information travelling at a blazing speed.

If somebody is able to hack banks via the internet, then your account is at a risk because it's all there in the networks.
