Sex offender wins $500,000 Alaska lotteryStory Highlights

Well, I believe in " karma " will take care of him. Some day, it will change. If, any sex offender wins from lottery or whatever - it will go to charity or help poor families to meet their needs or support a group for rape victims and things like that.

Like some of you support Obama when his logo says " Change we can believe in " ...... so, let's just wait and see how things go -- shall we ? :)

You do realize that the concept of Karma is a Hindu philosophy? Strange that you would invoke Karma given that you have often stated that your religion is Christianity.

So, if we are to leave it to Karma to deal with sex offenders, why is it that you want to see abortion made illegal so that women who make that decision would be punished under civil law? And you have also stated that you support the death penalty, which is civil law.

Obama's slogan has absolutely nothing to do with the punsihment of convicted criminals, not the appropriateness of a sex offender getting 1/2 a million dollars from an organization intended to protect women and children from sexual abuse and rape. You can't compare the 2 in any way, shape, or form.

And you claim to be supportive of children's rights! I hope that beautiful little baby that you have in your sig is never the victim of a sex offender that you will let Karma deal with.

And, the outcome ? It's just recently that he have done it - and, we won't know if, all these 3 will work in the long run. I am lookin' at the outcome.

Off topic. This is a thread about an Alaskan sex offender, not Obama.

No, we most certainly do not think the same way. I, personally, see a sex offender receiving money from an organization that is supposed to protect women and children from people like him as adding insult to injury for all victims of rape and sexual abuse.

It is like this person was rewarded for his bad behavior and from a charity that protects women from people like this person...SMH

How about " what you sow, you shall reap ? " Hmm ? Is that even better for you ? It is almost similiar as " karma " such as " payback ".....

And, what's more -- you don't like to hear some religious comments otherwise, you will say to some Christians that it is not allowed to discuss religion comments or issues at AD. Which one is that you are tryin' to tell me ?

Jillio, how many times have I told you about abortion that I am against ? I've seen my own unborn child's death due to vacuum and what it have done to me. I was NOT happy what I saw. It ain't pretty to see. Guess what ? It sent me to see a psychologist for emotional trauma. You don't seem to care what it have done to me and yet, you still call me what ever you think I am.

And you have also stated that you support the death penalty, which is civil law.

Sure, I support the death penalty if, one kills a human being on purpose or intentionally.

Congratulations to sex offender is like " good for you ", if he wins lottery. If, you don't like it then, why don't you make a petition and have people sign on it to make voices against sex offender to keep 1/2 a million dollars ?

And you claim to be supportive of children's rights! I hope that beautiful little baby that you have in your sig is never the victim of a sex offender that you will let Karma deal with.

I did not chose to kill my own child or unborn child. And, of course I support children's rights to LIVE. Don't forget that I am pro-life. Abortion is NOT pro-choice. If, you disagree about that part, then so be it. Agree to disagree. Adults AND children are always the victims of everythin'.

And attitudes such as congratulating a sex offender insures that women and children will always be victims. I suppose that is acceptable to you. It isn't to me.

And what you so, so shall ye reap is not the Hindu philosophy of Karma. Karma includes the concept of reincarnation. Please understand the philosophies before you claim to adhere to them.

And, if Karma is good enough for dealing with a sex offender, then it should also be good enough for dealing with a murderer or a woman who chooses to have an abortion. Oh, my, but you are full of contradictions.

I am not contradictin' anything. We don't see the same or think the same. Please, agree to disagree. Ok ?

By the way, I am done with you in this thread.

Thanks for the definition. It supported exactly what I said. It is not a Christian principle, but a Buddhist or Hindu principle related directly to reincarnation.

And the thing is, the Buddhists and the Hindu apply it across the board, not selectively. It is a way of life for them. So, if they leave it to Karma to deal with one offense, they also leave it Karma to deal with all offenses. That is why they don't contradict themselves in its application.

But seriously, if you do beleive in Karma, it might be a good idea to watch your back.:cool2:

Heh I really like that SOAP box animated gif.

But anyway...I wonder if any of you got any updates on that sex offender who won that kind of cash? I thought as soon as they found out, they would force him to give the money back or something...who knows.
