Several things that really make me very angry at hearing people

And when you pull back to see what they're saying and they get offended. How many times does a person need to be told not to do that??? Ugh!


The little boy I watch gave me an attitude the other day. He was playing on the floor in the living room, I came over and asked, "do you want your banana cut up?" and he ignored me. I asked again. Ignored again. Instead of raising my voice again, I stomped the floor to get his attention and he snaps his head up and goes, "I SAID 'uh huh' already!" I was instantly pissed at his attitude, and I said to him, "And I SAID that I cannot hear you and you need to look at me when you're talking and stop mumbling at the floor, but you never listen to that, now do you?? I swear I tell him to speak up literally every 5 minutes...clearly my hearing isn't the issue. It's obviously a memory problem on his side! :lol:

I have seen little boys get on to that before. It is a way of powertripping on women. It will take Dad right there making it verrrryyy clear that when you talk little fellow responds.

Thankfully, his dad does try to get him to listen when he's being spoken to, use good table manners, etc. They're often home when I'm there. They're musicians and do a lot of editing and business-type stuff from home and need me to keep their son occupied so they can get stuff done. Downside of that is that if I say "no" to something, he'll just waltz past me and ask his parents without me knowing. He'll say he's going to the bathroom or something like that, then sneak past to ask them.
 
Wiley little guy. :lol: Beat him at his own game. It sounds like he has smart parents. The set up has to be in before you tell him no, so the parents can already be on the same page.
 
If you outwit him a few times then he will start figuring out how to make an ally out of you. Then you will start having a lot more fun with him.
 
at work today....well everyday

I was workin away as usual...... Our QC guy came around to talk to me and instead of gettin my attention like ive asked he jus stands like 50ft away from me and jus talks away then when i dont hear him he makes a comment to my co worker who explains to him i cant hear him he has to get my attenion and talk when i am lookin at him!!!!! What does the QC guy do starts talkin to my coworker like i dont exist tell her this tell her that HELLO im standing rigt there

2 hrs later my boss comes up to me gets my attention starts talkin turns around around starts to walk off still talkin when i stop him and ask what he said he rolls is eyes and walks off

Y is it that only one person out of everyone i work with understands im HOH i dont have the freakin plauge

Some people don't understand the depth of being HoH. Perhaps with him, you need to tell him you are deaf. That way he can work from that which I think would put you in a better position. He'll think, "deaf, must look at them..." rather than HoH, and think, "just need to talk louder."

That's what I think I would do.

Ive told them a million time i twll them every single day i brougt my HA to work( we r under hearig protection we wear earplugs((pointless for mw but none the less)))
Its like they dont care my poor coworker he always has to mediate
 
I told my coworker today that since ive said this evrryday for almost a year now and they still dont have the mental capacity to walk up to me and get my attention then its not worth me doing what they say
 
Lol my aunt (deaf-ed teacher) says take my hearing tests and post it on the bullentin board by my work area! LMAO
 
Ugh!!!!! These people frustrate the fire outta me!!!!!!!! How hard is it to understand......I CANT HEAR U!!!!!!!!!!!
