Service dog in apartment rental

Pet rent is pretty common around here. It isn't any more refundable that the rent that people pay.

It's just a price you pay if you want to keep a pet in a rental.

I only heard of having a one time deposit and you got it all if there was no damage cause by the pet.

ask the landlord if he prefers the dog or an AR-15 and sawed off shotguns instead?

Re-read the OP. It's a monthly fee.

I did.

And I have heard of/seen monthly pet rent rather than a 1 time deposit.. in fact some places do do that-- they require a deposit then a monthly fee. I'm certain that I have seen pet rent fairly high like that.
