2 days ago, I bought a bike from someone. That person told me the bike was not his. He is selling it for his friend. I agreed to make an offer. He said he would call his friend with my offer.

I offered $25. His friend wanted $40 for it. We settled at $30. The seller told me that he will give $10 out of his pocket to his friend. I feel bad that the seller has to fork over $10 to his friend. Not my problem as I felt that I paid a fair price for the bike.

I don't think I will like the idea of selling stuffs for someone else. Have you ever sold stuffs for someone else? By this, I don't mean trying to sell your Grandma's estate for her. I'm more thinking like, I give you a TV. You take it. You sell it for me. Pay me when sold. If you did that, would you do that type of thing again?

Nope never.... I sold 3 cars for my wife, she is anal and wont budge on what she wants when something is not worth it...eg: we had a 2000 dodge caravan we paid $3000 for it, the trans was slipping and she was is 3 accidents and never fixed it, so I figured a fair price was $700 as it ran good and looked ok, just trans was starting to slip. she wanted the full $3000 we paid 2 years ago... I told her she was crazy, but every time I had to deal with the buyers. So this past month she sold the cavalier (1995) she paid $1300 and it was crap, her daughter tore it up letting her punk friends drive it and dog the crap out of it. I wasn't dealing with it, it burned oil, tranny kicked, knocked...nope not this time. So, they sold it...they asked $2000 and I laughed so hard at them... they settled with a buyer for $900... He called the next day and said the #3 cylinder was shot and they were bickering over the AS-IS sale.
That is why I don't sell crap for them anymore I told her and I don't for anyone else either, I sell my own stuff and that's it, because I know what my stuff is and that it isn't crap. An honest sale and done.

Yes it's hard to sell anything for anyone else, unless you both agree on the value of whatever it is you are selling :)
