Schwarzenegger signs new anti-paparazzi law

My argument is, would have they been alive if it hadn't been for the pappies aggravating the circumstances with the driver?

Yiz

better question is - would they have been alive if the driver wasn't drunk?

well we'll never know but as I said - drunk driving is never justified and drunk driving kills. you are willing to overlook the driver because of mitigating circumstance - the paparazzi.

Not me. the driver will get the heaviest hit from me, not paparazzi.

Di is related to this thread because one is saying Di died as the result of paparazzi's aggressive action which caused her driver to crash and that she could be alive if this anti-paparazzi law existed at that time. My argument is that Di died because of driver's drunk driving - regardless of anti-paparazzi law.

Both. Paparazzi did agressive approach to the drunk driver to drove so carelessly. No one knows for sure if drunk drive drove home safe or non drunk driver crashed because of the paparazzi's aggressive approach. Many celebrities are trying to get away from paparazzi without thinking twice where they are heading without looking double to make sure before they makes move. you know?

Princess Di has dealt with this many many many times with her personal driver without incident for several years. and now... she's dead... all because of a drunk driver. His alcohol level was 3x the legal limit allowed in France (equivalent to 10 glasses of wines) and he drove over 100 mph. Any driver escorting a celebrity knows it's extremely dangerous to drive over 100 mph in any city and it's never good idea to do it. Many celebrities including Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, and Paris Hilton have dealt with paparazzi chasing after them on road but they do not drive above 100 mph because it's illegal and dangerous. the police escort doesn't even go that fast either.

It's a simple tragic case... Princess Di was killed by a reckless drunk driver.

Though I support the anti-paparizzi law, I have to agree that Princess Diana is dead because of a drunk driver.

Before Diana's passed away and she dont wanted drunk driver get hurt Princess of Wales and France makes laws for driver limit eight cups of alcohol drinks.

im sure British makes laws for protect British Royal Family and expect celebration, reality, whatevers for rights in private lifes and cant get pictures without knowledges for publish pictures in magazines what happened in 1997..

But any country have rightsful for protect movie stars to private lifes but im sure police can arrest paparazzi or photographer due under by photo agency.

IF Royals on cover magazines will cost lots of money between USA and UK remind of Diana who been cover since 1981-1997 for 15 years but she now gone for 12 years..

Diana been on cover People numerous times
Diana also on British Hello! Magazines
Diana also on British Majesty Magazines
Diana also on British Royalty Magazines

This is good.

I've always been tired of walking around the store and seeing a bunch of magazines with half-naked celebrities with comments like, "OMG! She's fat!" "Whoa... he's cheating on her!" "Uh oh! Busted!" Seriously, those photographers need to get a life!

Sounds good...now we need to get that nation wide. We all have the rights to have privacy.

but would you do it if one photo sells for $200,000? :hmm:

And i think that the parapazzi should have tried to help her instead of photogrpahing her while she was dying.

like what? there's absolutely nothing they can do about it. the car was crushed up like a tin can and you need Jaw of Life to pry it open to get her out (see photos below). Plus - the injuries were very extensive that paparazzi will most likely end up breaking her neck. it took rescuers an hour or more to get her out of car.

people who are not first aid-certified should NOT render a medical assistance to crash victim unless the situation is very dire such as car on fire. all you can do is - control the situation (redirect the traffic), call 911, and talk to crash victim who are conscious (to prevent them from going into shock) but do not provide medical assistance nor move him/her.

you have a point there given her injuries.

It should be limit to 0.8% BAC, it means drink 1 bottle of beer maybe enough to reach the limit but same bottle for wine and vodka aren't due very stronger.

You need say BAC instead of cups because beer, wine, vodka, whiskey or spirit has different BAC.

But I think she meant 0.8% BAC though. You have to remember who we are dealing with here.

She don't mention about BAC but cups so what's your point...

You gonna have to think out of the box for this one... ready? Okay, let go.

If a person doesn't know what BAC, it could means anything. It could be translated as "beer alcohol cup."

She didn't read wrong, or anything like that, but the context of what BAC actually means is not there. So far I am concerned, she's "right" within the definition above.

*steps off podium*

Now... Sara, BAC actually means Blood Alcohol Content. The more alcohol you drink, the higher your BAC go up. The rule of the game is to keep the BAC as low as possible. Meaning someone who is 0.1 BAC is not going to get arrested. Someone with 0.8 BAC will get arrested and go to jail.

So it's not "beer cups." A girl I know can get a 0.9 BAC after one beer cup! if the girl with 0.9 BAC was to drive, she would get arrested!

France makes laws for driver if you are more drink expect beer, whiskey, vodka, whatevers types alcohol drinks but police in France cant let driver get drunk but let someone drive for driver that what happened to Diana's driver got drunk. And driver got drink lots eight cups whether of alcohol but Diana didnt see but its crazy!!

After she got crash but someone says paparazzi on wall in tunnel what did on Princess of Wales.Police in France arrest photographer under by agency between London,England and France for taking pictures of Diana and photographer got in jail for years.

driver got drunk and they killed car accident with Diana and Mr.Dodi Fayed her companion.

Driver Henri Paul's blood-alcohol-content at the time of the crash was more than three times the legal limit in France, according to the Paris prosecutor's office. The car, it is eventually discovered, was traveling between 61 to 63 mph; the speed limit in the tunnel is 30 mph.

before Diana's passed away paparazzi tried get pics of her
Just after midnight, as it is chased by paparazzi on motorcyles, a black Mercedes carrying Princess Diana speeds into a Paris tunnel and crashes into a pillar. Dodi Al Fayed, Diana's current boyfriend, is killed on impact, as is the driver, Henri Paul. Diana is cared for at the scene and eventually taken to a local hospital, where she dies at 4 a.m. due to internal bleeding caused by major chest and lung injuries. Paris police detain several photographers for questioning.

After Diana's crash the photographer got arrest and suspect and also got manslaughter.

Diana's mother really shock on driver got drunk!!
Frances Shand Kydd, Diana's mother, reacts angrily to a British Ministry of Defence anti-drunk-driving ad that features a picture of Diana and the message: "Unfortunately, even a Princess isn't safe with a drunk driver." The MoD withdraws the ad and apologizes to Shand Kydd.

Mohamed Al Fayed offers $1.6 million for information about a mysterious white Fiat that police believe may have glanced against Diana and Dodi's Mercedes as it entered the tunnel. Al Fayed believes the British intelligence services orchestrated the crash because, he says, the monarchy would not want Diana to marry Dodi, a Muslim.

The Metropolitan Police investigation into Diana's death is expected to cost more than $3.3 million, according to official figures.
