Height is not going to hurt you... But it is FUN..

That picture comes from a greeting card that I got from my mom a couple weeks ago. Heh!

Are you terrified of heights?

I Am not terrified of heights at all...I just do not look down..

I am aviaphobic, hydrophobic, claustrophobic, and agoraphobic. In plain in English, this means I don't like heights, water, closed in spaces or open spaces. Basically, if I can live my life from my home, I'm in good shape! lol

Nope, I'm not afraid of heights. In fact I'm a rock climber. The higher the better. When climbing with ropes anything above 150' is great. The typical rope is 150' so you never have to worry about hitting the ground! :)

Is there help for people with phobia like yours? Oceanbreeze?
If you can handle it, then good but what about open spaces? I dont understand that at all...can you handle going out to somewhere like parks or anyplace where there are open spaces?
Ive heard some people are so bad that they cant leave home, which is pretty
extreme and thats no life at all!...i cant imagine not going anywhere at all! Id go crazy!...I love to go everywhere i can ha.

Yeah, I've been wondering about that! It's like a person who says he's religious and having a screen name of "S3XP0T".

Simple... I live in FL. I am SURROUNDING by water. Just because I don't like to go IN the water doesn't mean I can't appreciate the beauty of it. And, my screen name is OceanBREEZE, which has more to do with the wind rather than water. Hope this answers your question.

I think I need to clarify my statement. I CAN go out and I do go out with people I trust. But, when I do, I go and do what I need to do. Then, I beat it back home again. My home is the place I feel most secure, I suppose. I don't know :dunno:

Now, I guess I have to ask myself... Is this a problem? And, I suppose it is. Within the last year or so, I've actually experienced some anxiety when I've had to go anywhere. It's also probably true that I am probably in denial about how serious this is or could be since I STILL CAN go out. The idea of it doesn't cripple me. I just would PREFER NOT TO. But, that doesn't mean I won't run into trouble later.

Now the question becomes, will I do something about this by way of seeing a professional? And, the answer to that is .. No, I won't. Because, frankly, therapists and I don't mix.
