Saudi Woman, 75, Sentenced to 40 Lashings

That is very sad. I think she probably won't survive if she really gets 40 lashes.
 
40 lashings for a 75 years old woman ? I think that's waaay too much. It could kill her since her body is not very strong enough to withstand 40 lashings.

I opposed their idea about lashin' on an elderly women.
 
I don't think we should be meddling with that culture but one thing I did notice was that she was prosecuted on mere suspicion.

Dont worry there will be a huge world outcry that could at least save her from the 40 lashings but may not get her out of serving prison time. They are also seeking to deport here which would be to her benefit in my opinion. She would be best to move to a more westernized country that accepts Muslims and she could get some financial help specifically programs geared toward senior citizens such as meals on wheels or some variation of it, and possibly some assistance to help her with certain tasks.
 
They are really sick people who would hurt a poor old woman. :(

Oil really. That and the fanaticism of Wahhabi Islam could pose a risk with radical groups attacking. Just another day of disguising human rights violations and barbaric punishment/torture as a "cultural thing" behind Sharia law.
 
why is this thread in the strange and stupid news forum? It is a real news about human rights and justice so it should not belong to this forum. :hmm:
