Asia's Health Minister has been fired because facts were hidden and the full numbers were not told. Asia's Health Minister told only 1/3 of the number of the death toll when we later learned there was more deaths. A lot more in Asia. You can read more about it in a website and in my humble opinion as a Canadian, I strongly feel that the World Health Organization's act of imposing a health advisory on Toronto is unfair. We are already suffering economically, this is much worse than post 9/11. The WHO is advising tourists not to go through Toronto at any costs and not to fly in to Toronto until the SARS scare dies down. The SARS scare has truly died down over 4 weeks ago. We averaged 17 deaths a day back then and now we only average 3 deaths a day. We have truly taken drastic measures to control this SARS health crisis.

SARS has nothing to do with sex.
It is a respiratory illness that you can heal from.
Once you are healed from it, you can recommence with sex.
 
I m having a sinus since Saturday. Yesterday I was drowsy even i slept for 10 1/2 hours. I took 3 naps. It's like I slept more than 12 hours. Finally, today Im getting a little better but i think im having a brontisis (sp?)

At my work, my friend was joking me around and said, "You are having a SARS* I was like very funny! :roll:

As far as I know, you have to be in direct contact with the person that has it. Latest reports is that it may be dying off.

Right now, Sheila Copps, our cabinet member of Parliament has declared our Health Minister fired but our Prime Minister Jean Chrietien's camp states the Health Minister is not fired as of yet. In this whole SARS mess, our Health Minister has been lax about the process just like China's Health Minister. Sheila Copps didn't think too highly of our Health Minister and decided to fire her. She announced the removal of the Health Minister from Parliament on National Television and explained why. However our PM Jean Chrietien is trying to clear up all this SARS mess by showing up for a convention tomorrow in Toronto. Our government has a financial payout plan for any SARS sufferers, like any deaths from SARS and employment losses from being in quarantine, etc.
 
If people had more common sense, this chaos wouldn't be in place. Right now Canada's government is at odd's with eachother. Sars has really brought out the best in the nations around the world. *sarcasm*
 
is that why the doctors keeps getting high bills in hospitals?
 
you know some doctors go on strike because of high taxes and stuff...as the dead disease goes on, the mediene will be more expenise to develop and produce and sell 'em on the market and they will be NUTS to get 'em before they DIE

Oh wow...what a neat research on SARS. :eek: I believed that SARS came from Iraq after our country invade them. Iraqis, however are stupid enough to fire the chemical weapon to China instead of United States.
 
i thought it isn't a chemical weapon...it's supposed to be a LIVE disease right?

Basically, the news said it was a big time cold that 5% (dunno the actual number, but it wasn't that high) of people die from. It use to only affect animals, but is now affect humans now.
 
They are saying that SARS could be the next "Big One". They say that the number of cases and deaths are rising almost exponentially.
