Sarah Palin going rogue!

Everybody knows that Obama is just fluff. He has thoroughly energized the country with his wonderful speaking skills, but really what comes out of his mouth and plans are just fluff. With so many Americans disheartened these days with credit crises, foreclosures, seeing their 401Ks disappear, we all are desperate to hear anything that gives us hope. Yet, when it comes right down to it, when we need someone with real experience, including real war/conflict experience, (and we all know more of that's coming still) who do we want guiding us through this? McCain. Not some guy who just spouts fluff and has a few months senate experience.

And what exactly is coming out of McCain's mouth? Or Palin's mouth?

And "everybody" knows nothing of the kind. That is why he is ahead in the polls.

Oh yes, they do, or at least they think they "know." But come voting day, if even a fraction of those who are supporting Obama based solely on his fluffed-up, energized oratory skills, sit down for a moment and think .. "which one of these are QUALIFIED to be our next president?" Reality will sink in and it won't be for Obama. Those numbers in the polls only show who's all hyped up over Obama's fluff. Even Obama's vice presidential running mate is more qualified than Obama himself. Oratory skills only get you so far.

There is a thread discussing this.

Not only that, Obama was a PROFESSOR of Constitutional Law! It's clear that he knows more about the Constitution than McCain does!
Also, he was a civil rights lawyer and he really believes that EVERYONE is entitled to equal treatment.

Or Palin! :giggle:

Nice that you have a crystal ball that allows you to predict both the hearts and the minds of the voters. I prefer to rely on the polls until the actual results are tabulated. And right now, the polls say the majority support Obama. And they don't support him for "fluff" as you call it. That would be the attraction for the Palin crowd. Obama supporters are behind the real issues of economy, eduction, and health care for American citizens.

Everyone should be looking at who is most qualified to lead our country. America needs someone who has real experience. This whole candidacy has been one long job interview -- and election day will determine who "gets the job," so to speak. The job of being President of our United States. Should you go to an interview hoping you'll land the job based on being a great speaker, or should you be hired based on experience? It should be the latter. I am actually not siding with McCain here -- I am STILL undecided. And even if you think McCain should not be president because you don't believe in some of his policies, well, that is what Congress is for. To provide a checks and balances. But the rationale behind what our future President makes his decisions and proposals on should be based on factual knowledge and experience, not just because it SOUNDS good.

I'm sorry, but there are more important issues to base a person's vote on. If you're going to vote for Palin (or Obama) just because she/he signed ILY, you need to re-evaluate your priorities. There are more pressing issues such as the economy and Iraq war that we need to be concerned about.

Obama isn't spouting fluff. He has genuine, good ideas for fixing the economy and bringing this country out of the deep hole its been in for the past 8 years. If anyone is guilty of spouting fluff, it's John McCain and Sarah Palin. Instead of talking about the issues and discussing what they plan to do once they are in office, they constantly attack Obama. It's getting old and according to the national polls, people are tired of it.

Right on!

Remember, it's McCain running for presidency, not Palin!

I read Obama's plans...they are very organized and well-planned. Whoever outlined these plans definitely has experience.

:ugh:

Uhhh.......

EDIT: Ok... I just come in here and this thread made me speechless... :ugh3:

I agree. All of Obama's plans are thorough and detailed. When I looked at McCain's website, all I could find were vague descriptions of what McCain planned to do regarding healthcare and the economy -- there were no specifics. He also didn't have any plans for the disabled, elderly or minorities.

:giggle: @ the word "fluff" , that reminds me of "marshmallow fluff".
