Salem, Utah, teacher has students design ISIS poster

I think that intern teacher was not ready for prime time teaching.

Not a good assignment for those students.
 
I shouldn't be, but yet I am...always amazed by the level of stupidity of people in this country and it scares me that many "teach."

I can remember my daughter coming home from school and telling me her teacher told the class that all tall Black men like to play basketball . I was like WT? ! I reminded my daughter that she has an uncle who is
6 ft 3 and Black and he doesn't play basketball .
 
I guess that teachers have different opinions.

I'm for academic freedom but they need to consideration about sensitive material in elementary school and middle school.

I will be upset if my kids get assignment about ISIS or terrorist organization, also it is bad timing after Paris attack and multiple threats over US.

I believe you. my friend just talked with me today about seafood. He said he was told that black people don't like seafood because they can't swim. And he believed that. Smh. I have to straight the sense outta him.

:laugh2: OMG ! I have to tell this my sister this ! My sister's husband is Black and he love seafood and he can't swim. I never heard of anything so dumb in my life ! Someone told my sister that vegetarian
women can't get pregnant and my sister believed this and she a RN!
I was a vegetarian when I got pregnant .

Wow, your friend obviously hasn't met any black people from SC Lowcountry. They love seafood just as much as white people do.

Besides, what does swimming have to do with what people like to eat? It's like saying I don't like to eat steak because I don't know how to ride a bull. (Not true--I love steak!) :lol:

or Birmingham metro - most black people love seafood and we have a lot of seafood restaurants.

Local restaurants got seafood from gulf in Alabama, also Jim 'N Nick's got seafood from gulf too.

I heard eating fish is brain food , I guess this is not true for everyone. :giggle:

Haha Exactly. I told him that not true. He said outback steakhouse black coworkers told him. He Wanna me ask them <<<<< he tried to persuade me believe he telling truth. I followed my gut. Most older black people don't talk like that.... maybe young people told him so or he made it up that he have not go or see where black people buy fresh raw seafood store instead of he going where most of Caucasian people popular in Crab Shack restaurant near beach. Not much black people live at beach. So we both from sea island, oldest city Savannah in GA.
 
I not sticking up for her but is it possible she trying not to shield them from the hate IS have for the world in a way they understand and can interpreted
