Running an older CD/DVD on Windows Vista

Don't have the money to upgrade to Win 7 and the rest sounds like too much work. I will donate the CD's to someone who wants them and wait to find something else. They are just the best ASL learning programs I have found yet.

Besides, I have no friends close enough that would do that for me. I am too much of a homebody and don't socialize due to my deafness and communication problems.

You can create parition on your harddrive and install Windows XP Operation System. You can switch between the current operation system and Windows XP.

Knowing some of her hardware from previous experience, OP's best bet is to make an copy/iso of the software, install iso mounting software and move it onto the netbook. It has XP on that since they don't have a copy of XP.

$0 spent of all most importantly, and no OS/partition redoes. I would not want to impose that on someone with little computer knowledge.

Kristina, don't you have a P3? I thought you had a netbook with XP on it?

My netbook has XP, but no CD drive. I do have an external CD drive I might could use, but I'm not sure where the drivers dick is and then I have the same problem. Do drives on the netbook.

Just dug out the external drive.

It is an HP Cd-writer 8200 series. It will connect with a USB cable
I just don't know if it's too old to download drivers for it, since the netbook has no drives. Would it be possible to copy the drivers from the CD onto a flash drive and do it that way? I have a 2GB and a 4GB flash drive.

Depend how big size from ASL software. Yes, you can copy all data from disc to USB flash then use usb flash to netbook and it should be work.

I just wanted to copy the drivers from the install disk for the external CD-writer, not the ASL CD's.
