My new ear molds are finally in! I made a decision that i wasn't going to hide my deafness anymore.

It seems that the flesh colored hearing aids and ear molds are designed to "hide" deafness. Even the ear molds are low profile to "hide" them as much as possible.

I decided I wasn't going to do that anymore just because I was given that flesh-color by default. This time, when I got new ear molds, I asked for blue.

Here they be!

:) nice!! I could do with an earmould for my implant, but after a few days my ear starts to hurt, no surprise then, no earmould for almost 11 years in that ear
 
I was warned that these ear molds are made of different material than my previous ear molds and to watch for an allergic reaction to them. They don't expect it, but to watch for it anyway. That's too bad that your ear mold hurt your ear. :(
 
Ear molds for Cochlear Implants? I don't have one! Something new?

When I had/used Hearing Aids over 35 years did have ear molds.

Yes, you can get an earmold for your CI. Some people get them because of sports. I am going to order a "skeleton" earmold for my CI (a skeleton earmold is mostly hollow and allows air through - not useful for HA, but holds the CI)
 
I have a pink, black and clear mold with a fuchsia-pink hearing aid. I'm looking to get a new mold sometime soon but can't think of any color or color combination I'd want. Definitely don't want clear or flesh colored.
 
yeah... my moulds are designed not to be seen either really... I think next time I am going to get colored (prob purple) ear moulds and a larger shell (prob full shell)
 
I like that blue! Almost a turquoise.

DS has had blue before but not that shade.

Nice.
