Road furnitures?

Be glad you don't live at the Beach on the oceanfront....my driveway was for 2 cars only....people would drive around trying to find a spot to park...and many times, would park in our driveway or in front of our house....I remember getting up one AM, to find 2 cars had blocked me out of my driveway...I was ...had to go onto the Beach, asking people if they owned such an d such a car....Wasted my time...and I really gave them an earfull!....So we took some heavy chain and rope to block off our driveway and installed a sign..."No Parking!"....It worked for awhile....:giggle:...then it started again and if I saw someone parking close to the driveway, on our grass, I would yell out..."Get ur arse outta here"!.."Leave ur car there and I'll flatten ur tires". People want to park close by to wherever they are going.....

Do you mean the funeral home parks their hearses and limo in the doctor's parking lot? Or do you mean guests of the funeral home take it upon themselves to park there without permission? Is the doctor aware of them using his private parking lot?

The guests parks their cars in the Dr. parking lot and the guys standing outside the funeral home see this happening and say nothing. I think that is wrong as there are older people that needs to park their car in the DR parking
lot. Yes the DR. office is aware but I guess they're too busy to do anything. The DR parking lot is very small so and if would be nice if the funeral was a better neighbor. The funeral home abused their rights to reserve parking spaces, they will blocked the spaces so anyone doing work on the building can park their trucks there. I was not able to park on the street a few times for this reason , 4 parking spaces where blocked for workers that not even on the job yet.

When are the funerals in relation to the doctor's office hours? For years some, mainly workers, at a church dinner we have park in the lot that is owned by an eye clinic. But it is on Sunday when the clinic is closed and we have permission to use it. It is because we need more parking for people coming to buy dinners than our own lot will hold.

I thought that any time vehicles are parked blocking the driveway gave the lot/house owners the right to have it towed and bill vehicle owner.

Could be...but I never went to that extreme...And when you need to get out of ur driveway...Tow trucks take a long time to get there and the people leave before it happens....Tow Truck drivers do make the $$ on the weekends at the Beach, but it's a dangerous occupation.

I'm afraid it's up to the doctor's office to make a complaint to the funeral home. It's the doctor's parking lot that's being misused, so that's who has the right and obligation to do something about it. The patients should complain to the doctor's office so they know when it's happening.

If the doctor's office doesn't do something about it then I guess it's not an important issue to them.

You want to keep the space for yourself, ask your city council to designate it a residents only parking bay.

Yes, they do. That's their right. They can also charge them with trespassing, as well.
