If Purple is dead, why is their site still acting innocent and just selling their products? There's no news on their site about what is going on and support issues with discontinued products, etc? Don't buy those blogs!

Sigh… as a former Purple employee who was recently laid-off, i just want to let folks know that my final paycheck bounced today due to “insufficient funds”. Great. Just great. That means 2 wks worth of work for FREE. If that’s not an indication that Purple is shutting down, I don’t know what is. Purple employees who are currently working, I suggest you request all future payment in CASH. Otherwise, you will never see it! Purple execs should seriously burn in hell for all of their shady shannanigans! And now it looks like the big boys are taking the money and running. Purple bastards. I hope the FCC gets a hold of you by your tender parts and practice some heinous corporal punishment medieval-style on your shitty purple asses!!

I don't know anything about Purple's operating status.

Just as a precautionary statement, let me say that the status of a website is not proof of the status of a company.

I once worked for a national interpreting agency that folded. It's website and links remained on-line for months after the company closed. They informed none of their clients that they had gone out of business, and they left contracts unfulfilled.

I also know of a VRS company that closed up shop practically overnight, too. There was no big advance "announcement." It just "happened."

Just be cautious.

That just shows that their website is still on-line.

If they paid up front for their site and server contract, it can still be up even though the business quits operating.

I'm not saying that's what happened in their case. I'm saying that an existing website doesn't prove anything.
