I'm so annoyed that my ears ring constantly but now I notice the tone changed. It went from a low roar to a very high pitch wave and it's louder than before. It keeps me up at night when I do finally feel tired. I have tried everything to get it to calm nothing works.

It is annoying, I'll admit, but, something we all live with! All of us deaf, hoh, anyway. :ugh:

Smoke a fatty, youll feel better...ring no ring.......

Yeah when I first started getting ringing in my ears I asked my daughter and husband if they heard any sounds and they said "NO" . I went outside and still heard it , then I realize it was in ringing in my ears . I had learned to shut it out .

Its not really known what the mechanism is that causes it, but is prevalent in most people if not all who have hearing loss. There are other other causes and people who have it too, that aren't deaf or hoh. Do a search for tinnitus, lots of info out there and some suggestions for treatments, though I've never heard of any being successful for any length of time.

Wishing you the best!

Oh wow, that 's a sad situation! I feel sorry for her.

Yes is was sad , she is no longer alive , I said I had a friend , I guess you miss that part. I loved her dearly. She was a neighbor and our families became good friends over the years ,she was older than me.

I had a dear friend that woke up really sick one day , she got some kind of virus and it got in her ears and end up having horrible ringing in her ears for the rest of her life . She could no longer play the piano ,she went to
Juilliard school and she was heartbroken that could not enjoy music anymore.

that's a great site! I am surprised anemia may cause tinnitus.
I used suffer with anemia frequently. and often had periodical tinnitus in various form, especially at nighttime, after removing my HA.
now I know why - thanks to you! :ty:
