Respect: What does it exactly mean to you?

What does that have to do with respect?

After all, We know some lawyers out there are corrupted. Does it mean that they deserve the respect from us?

Of course, I'd rather have a lawyer to defend for me in a Court of Law but that isn't the point, hence, the guy who flips the hamburger may be a lot more respectful than a lawyer could be.

Corruption is everywhere as is double-standard.....which we won't discuss :cool2:

Secondly the point I am making, regardless of one's profession, it's a known fact that the one that is more educated is more respected than those that aren't educated, hence--the socio-economics.

In general, I do respect people and their differences and like many said, if they say things that are not respectful back, then respect will be lost. That's how it works for me.

As for respect for people who have more education..I am not sure about that cuz I have a general distrust of people in certain fields because of bad experiences so for those in those fields, I dont automatically respect them until I feel I can trust them. However, I will be two-faced just to be polite in face to face situations.
