I have been a forum moderator in another deaf forum for almost a year. At first, it was fun moderating the forum then later it's no fun moderating the forum. It's difficult for me to try to make EVERYONE happy because of "pro" and "anti" groups of all sorts.

I can understand Kevbo's situtation because I was there and done that. There are times I feel I want to resign as a forum moderator because of my hectic schedule at work and upcoming activities in my social life. Unfortunately, the owner of the deaf forum wouldn't bear to see me resign because it's VERY difficult to find a suitable moderator.

I'll have to be honest with myself and to everyone. I like being a poster better than being a moderator. Applying and volunteering to be a forum moderator is like running for President of the USA in the presidential candidation period!

Just do whatever you feel is best for yourself as well as it is for AD's best interest. Freaky does have good suggestion.

Yea, Alex would have a tough time finding someone to replace Kevbo because of all the trust that Alex spent onto Kevbo would have to go to this other new person. :p
 
I nominate Silencegold for the temp position since he's in here a lot! LOL :D

Lady Duke, Alex set a schedule for the moderators to do their job.. and even gives compensation which really helps!

It's even harder being an administrator, and I can attest for that. It's where there's the need for delegation (ie. moderators in this case). You are the final person with the last say, and it doesnt take pussyfooting to do that. I hail Alex for that. :D

I've been administrators for several different boards. I've been director of some projects; network, flash site projects, IT services...etc.

Trust came in all those areas.
 
Hey .. u can keep that position and let somebody take over while ur gone. Then when ur back.. u take take the position back. Up to u. :D
