Hi all,
I'm new to this site. I have an auditory processing condition that requires me to use assistive technology developed for the Deaf community--an Ubi-Duo, the text relay service, and so on.
I'm going to be starting a master's program in the summer, and I'm in the process of requesting accommodations. Specifically, I need to set up a remote captioning service for classes, workshops, and lectures during a once-a-year, eight-day residency. I've looked into the services provided by the Deaf Services Center of Baton Rouge, LA and by 20/20 Captioning. I haven't been able to find any reviews of these services, and I want to make sure that whatever service I choose, it's reliable.
Does anyone have any experience with these services? Or could you recommend any reliable remote captioning services that you know of?
Many thanks,
Rachel
