When I was 12 in 1989, Geo Prizm was about to come out with sedan and hatchback versions. As a kid, I thought the hatchback version was pretty cool !!!! What has became of them those days ? They look way outdated by today's standard, but they were cool back then !!!!

Three cylinders :hmm:

I am not too fond of small cars, they are more dangerous when it comes to accidents. I rather going on motorcycle than in small car... Even in the event of accident, I won't be stuck inside motorcycle like mini cars would.

yuck but I do think this one is awesome

Only if you enjoy flipping while driving hard curve. I remember serious recall for this one.

there's no reason to drive hard curve especially on SUV.... it's not a sport car, silly

I am sorry, yes it is sport vehicle! Don't forget SUV stands for Sport Utility Vehicle. I remember vividly when this vehicle came out of factory as introductory, a year later, there have been several news about this vehicle ranked as worst rollover vehicle, end up sold to GM, rename it to Geo Tracker, and it STILL was a SHYT!

Don't believe me? Ask your best friend... Google!

yea.... like offroading... and adventure driving.... not some high-speed cruising like Porsche or BMW

Sport Utility Vehicle is not the same as Sport Car just because both words contained the word "sport"

I remember my sister rented a Prizm once... a slow accelerating, but gets over 50mpg easily.

I bet all semi-truck drivers would pissed off at any Geo vehicles due awful slow accelerating when enter the highway.

Whats wrong with your head?

"Sport" has many meaning in it. Is Football a sport, right? How about swimming, is it a sport, right? Do player play the same way between football and swimming? Of course NOT!

Same concept with vehicles, sport vehicle has its own purpose and competition. Fast car sure, you can call them sport, SUV on other hand is still sport because it could have off road competition.

Sport is sport, period!

Nothing change the fact that this SUV called Suzuki Samuri has ill fate with roll over accidents because of its natural center of gravity is much higher. Why higher center of gravity? Simply put, it is because it can go off road. On other hand these sport cars designed for speed has much lower center of gravity, why so? So that they can go faster without flying off up to certain speed.

A friend of mine drove to Alaska with Geo Prizm, and she made it back to California. I asked her to see if she drove through Denali National Park, she said she did with her friends, and Alaska State Troopers blocked her from driving through due to too low, and 13" rims

Geo Prizm is yuck. I used to tease friends about purchasing Geo Prizm.

Geo Prizm vs Yugo who's the winner?

Y'all are confusing the Geo Prizm for the Geo Metro.

The Prizm, known also as the Chevy Nova (oh, the blasphemy of a good name!) and the Toyota Corolla, was a compact 4-banger. I liked the hatchback version.

The Metro was the ugly 3-banger shoebox.

This is what Derek is referring to:

This is the 3-banger Metro some of y'all are thinking about:

p.s. I test drove a Samurai when it first came out in '86. Drove it two miles, turned around, returned it to the dealer, and never looked back.

Why? Those of you who drove the '86 with the manual trans would understand. Clutch felt like it was a mile long and did not engage until my knee was almost touching my face. Steering was no better than a 1915 International farm tractor in mud.

I thought it was cool in the pictures, but, man, was it a pain to drive.

Geo Prizm hand down!!!

Your friend should have driven a GMC Denali through Denali National Park.

uh why are you explaining these to me?

I said there's no reason to drive hard curve especially on SUV because it's not a sport car! and then you went completely off tangent.

Yup the GEO Metro was a tiny car- friend of mine owned one. She hit a deer once with that car- huge dent in the hood but no other damage to her, the car- and if I remember I believe the deer ran off. But at least that one was better than the other car they had- a hatchback Eagle- I don't recall the make of that one but it was terrible.

I owned a GEO Tracker (1992 or 1993 model I can't remember which- still have a pic)- never had a problem- like Jiro said- there's no reason to be taking a hard curve (in any vehicle really) - I never did. It does sway in high winds but so did my big Honda CR-V and current Suzuki XL-7 (which is 11 years old now).

You have your opinion, I have mine- I liked my Tracker and I miss it. Hated my friend's Metro though.

I take curves hard sometimes in my Mustang because it's low to the ground, wide stance and a sports car. I wouldn't take most cars hard in curves, but I do on occasion with my car. :)

I remember my father had a 1993 Mitsubishi Expo LRV sport and that car was a pile of junk. Came off the lot new and a total lemon.

You should try Audi S4 or Subaru Wrx and they are GREAT for curve due AWD.

Guess you had no idea, this Suzuki Samurai was famous for roll over, much much worse than Jeep Wrangler.

Here is link list of lawsuits and findings

Yes, there is reason to drive hard curve... ACCIDENT AVOIDANCE! Its harder to avoid accidents with Samurai than other SUV.

I remember frequent reading newspaper articles about this during their first years.
