Is that what you referring to? I see them all over Seattle area, but it's very common in the rockies like Utah, Colorado, etc since the growing conditions are better there....they like growing in colder climates, not in warmer climates like South California.

I didn't say they grow here and you're right that they thrive better in colder climes. The one you posted above seems real green; maybe it is just the photo or the area the tree is in; maybe the colder, the bluer they get? Lol, beautiful tree at any rate....thanks...I was raised in Minnesota so I guess they had a lot of them back then. How tall would you estimate the spruce is in that photo? I think the taller, the grander they are.

You're welcome. Yeah, it has to do with the area they grow in. Some looks a bit greener, some looks more bluish hue. They are beautiful trees, yeah.

so is mine. since i live in an apartment, it's much easier to have a fake tree so i don't have to worry about cleaning up the needles.

Indeed. Although, I like the smell/scent of a Christmas tree. My mom always have a real tree in her living room. Every year, the aroma is pleasant but sometime it gives me the headache because it can be really strong, for me that is. Also, It usually gives me the itchy eyes as well.

LOL ... well ... my tree is fake. Actually, I don't even have my fake tree up this year. I chose to put up lots of white lights and fake garland all around the house but no tree .. So I guess I can claim fake this year!

Fake. I looked in 3 places before finding one with a shape I liked. Actually, I found two, one 4 1/2 feet tall and another one 7 feet tall and five feet wide. I was going to get both of them and save the big one for when I get a house, but they were out of the big ones.

My parents used a fake one for many years because the coal stove in their living room would make a real one too dry.
