RAM upgrade

Got it fixed. It's at 8 GB of RAM now. :-D It wasn't properly seated, I knew it.

That is what I thought, I did had trouble seating second stick. Struggling because I could tell that it was not seated properly. Once I get "Snapped" Pah! and ran my MAC Mini, and it was CHAMP, I am sure you already notice that too. I am not sure but very likely my next computer will be MAC. Right now my computer is PC, my wife is MAC mini and do use her so I can understand how MAC works and helps me at my work.

It's far faster than it was with only 2 GB of RAM. More responsive and no more caching. Apps open faster and response quicker as well. Now, I can leave some apps open without worrying about slowing down.

Yup, as expected :)

When I purchased my moms all-in-one computer from HP. I made sure to include 6GB. 8 was available but I figured, 6 would be sufficient considering my parents only browse the web. It's not like they have PS suites installed or anything that eats memory like crazy.

It's handy when you can leave lot of applications open without slowing down, that's one of the pluses. You can for example, have Photoshop, Flash suite, drawing app, etc open at the same time doing app to app workaround.

I upgraded my Acer Aspire 1551 notebook memory from 2gb to 4gb. It seem running a bit faster. It is a 64bit Windows 7 system. Also ran 11.10 Ubuntu 64bit as well and ran faster than Windoz!!
