Aww I had no idea she had passed on. She was so funny woman. She surely will be missed.
"And that painter was...Pablo Picasso."
Other speakers at the funeral included Getty's other son Barry, her longtime assistant Richard and "Golden Girls" executive producer Tony Thomas. Her "Golden Girls" co-stars Bea Arthur, Rue McClanahan and Betty White were not in attendance at the intimate service inside the chapel at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles.
I just finished watching "Inside Edition" and was shocked to learn that none of her co-stars from "The Golden Girls," weren't in attendance of her funeral!
The Associated Press: Estelle Getty remembered as funny, feisty, frugal
I knew that they all were having issues at the end of the run but was it that bad?
Aren't they all about 90? Maybe they were not well enough to attend.
Betty White (Rose) and Beatrice Arthur (Dorthory) are 86 years old and Rue McClanahan (Blachie) is 74. I recently saw Rue on TV, it looks like she has been ill for some time - she has gained some weights (probably from all the prescribed pills.) From what I remember listening to the girls on the profile story thing on Lifetime channel that the girls kept in touch with Estelle Getty for years before her health worsened.Aren't they all about 90?
