Long hair on a guy, yay or nay?

I love long hair, I think it's sexy.

Depends on the guy, age, how it's done, cleanliness, etc.

Well I prefer it clean. :giggle: Well when I envision it on my perfect guy its a 6'2, 200lb beach boy type of guy. Twenties, worn out, has a wave to it. Think Fabio without so much length and not exuding so much sexual passion. Lol But what I like may differ. For some long hair on a guy is four inches and up.

Right - some guys, the longer hair just looks great on, but others, not so great. I used to like long hair on guys, but now, I want it short.

I remember my ex grew his hair verrrry long, tied it back with a rubber band...and everytime I *smooched* him, all I could feel was all that hair and it felt strange.....So, no, I don't like very long hair on guys. My 14 yr. old has it to his shoulders now.....The only way I will allow it is that it's not to be hanging in his eyes or face.....it's just something he's going thru right now, and feel he'll want a haircut before school starts. If not, then he will have to tie it back at all times. My other older son shaves his head (he looks like a Marine), and the 16 yr. old has normal length of hair.

But...now at my age (haha)....I'm lucky to find a guy who does have any hair at all!...And a lot of men are half bald, and try that "comb over" thingy that they do.....or that "paint" thing they spray on their bald spots......Jeez!...and they think that women are "vain"!....Guys are too...when it comes to their hair!

I think Fabio is creepy looking! It depend on the guy, some guys can pull it off and some guys look really dumb with long hair.

I like short hair but not tooo short. Like someone else, as I got older, I started prefer short hair. However, I never really had a thing for men with long hair anyway.

I grew up in the 60's - so long hair was the norm. Still on most men it doesn't look good. Younger men - depending on how they "do" it, can often get away with it, without it making them look awful.

My idea of a good looking man with longer hair - is Alex O'Loughlin during his Moonlight days. (TV show). Not overly long hair. Sexiest man alive in my opinion! (or not alive - tee hee....)

Now you all know my secret celeb crush....

I'm a guy and I used to have my hair long enough to tie into a ponytail. But I don't know if I would do it again. It's just a lot of hassle to deal with so that it looks decent.

Long Hair

Hmmmm...well it really does depend on the general look of the man. My husband always had a thick braid, usually to his waist. But he was Native American (Blackfoot). So he looked so natural I coud not imagine him any other way. My new love has short hair now and looks very hot, laughing, oh I feel like a bad girl just saying that..but I have also seen pics of him with longer hair when he was younger and he still looked HOT! whew so..lets see, I really do not like very short hair on anyman. But thats just me..Mmmm, I am glad no one can read my mind..lol..Midnight..♥♥Peace to all.

"gimme' a head with hair, long beautiful hair..
shining, gleaming, streamin', flaxen, waxen " Long as I can grow it, my hair!

I was referring to his hair not his look, lol..Okay, think Brad Pitt in any movie he had long hair. Or one of my favs, Interview with the vampire. Mucho sexi:naughty:

No, I like short hair. Long enough to run my fingers through, but not longer then 2 inches or so. When my husbands hair gets long it starts to get curly.

Depends on the guy, the haircut, the cleanliness. Longish layered hair (like Simon Baker on "The Mentalist") can look good. Hair pulled back into a pony tail when a guy is bald on top - no, just no. Looks ridiculous.

Time and a place for everything. Longer hair generally looks better on younger men who still have nice thick hair. As it thins out, it's not that great long any more.

That goes for women, too, more often than not.

I hate it when men grown their hair long and comb over to cover up their bald spot!!

It depend on the men, even in Native American men, on how well they keep their hair clean, trim and have the right style that is good for them. My husband who is Ojibwe used to have long hair and he found that he can not managed his hair when he was working in the bush cutting trees. So he decided to have his hair cut so he could have clean hair after his shower from his work. He continued to have short hair and still have it today. Short hair for my husband is pretty good for me. I don't mind having men long hair, but I don't want men to have long beards or mustaches. My husband have mustache always trim so that I can lipread him. :)

Anyway, I tried to have my son when he was little to have long hair for Native tradition, but funny thing is that his hair is curly. I was shocked and I did not like the curly hairs. So I had him go to the barber and have his hair cut short. He continue to have short hair. So it depend on how they look and what type of style. :hmm:

I do have curly hair now but back then I did not have curly hair.

My brother has long hair. Sometimes it's shoulder length and sometimes it's past his shoulders.

I knew a Native American man in Cal. and he had long black beautiful hair and what a body!! He was a hunk!! He had no hair on his body. I dated a guy that was Black and Native American and he said was not able to grown a full beard because he was part Native American .
